Lovely meal. I had the steak pie and it was really rich and delicious. The Florentine pudding lived up to expectations and the cherry sauce complimented it very well.

A restored village pub in the peaceful hamlet of Mappleborough Green, The Boot Inn serves a seasonal menu of uncomplicated British pub fare. Low ceiling beams, exposed red-brick walls & fireplaces make this pub a cosy retreat to enjoy a homemade meal or a pint of ale.

Sourcing ingredients from trusted local suppliers, The Boot Inn menu features wholesome recipes based around the garden, land and sea. Sample hand-pressed burgers, beef & ale pie with cardamom carrots, or sea bass with potato gnocchi, while old-school puddings include warming crumbles, custard-lathered sponges and decadent brownies. Not forgetting younger diners, a kids’ menu includes miniature versions of British classics.

A partnership with the celebrated Rothschild wine merchants means The Boot Inn cellar is stocked full with an eclectic list of world wines, while indulgent wine flights allow guests to sample a variety of bins. Seasonal beers and barrel-kept ales also feature, as well as thirst-quenching cocktails and rich coffees.

The Boot Inn in Lapworth is a 12-minute drive from Redditch Rail Station.

Nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, tasty food but just not enough of it as they were small portions! Even for two you women!

Ordered starter mains and wine at the same time, wine still hadnt arrived when starters cleared away, reminded waitress, returned several minutes later wine not available, offered us an alternative for £16-90, original was only £10-00. Offered us the cheapest house wine for £12- negotiated £10 same as original. Manager returned with house wine but said it would be the higher price. By this time main course had come and been eaten, didnt want wine now, asked for bill and left. Main course expensive and poor quality, final bill deducted £10-00 for inconvienience

Had a lovely evening, had fish and chips which was really good. My husband had pork belly that was a little disappointing as it was more like salty gammon than the white pork belly. The staff were great and the place has a lovely ambience.

    Was just ok not special
Burgers were lovely. Ham and eggs distinctly Lacklustre & too small portion size.
Drinks good & not charged for soda water which was nice.
Mini Desserts disappointing, 2 of us had brownies which came with no cream or ice cream. I swapped mine with hubby as couldn't eat it. I did mention it to the waitress.
    Coffees were only Luke warm.

Friendly service, food delicious and pleased to find out they are dog friendly. We will return. Shame about the very loud Americans on the table near us that the whole restaurant could hear.
