Very friendly staff, great service, and lovely food. I've never had anything but great meals here!

We (3 people) went for lunch at the Boat House on Saturday, 25th March, 2017. The waiting staff were really attentive and friendly, despite it being a very busy period. The food was really nice. The only disappointing thing was my pudding (apple & rhubarb crumble with custard). The crumble was in a pot and the pot was served on a board. This is really impractical as the pot was overflowing (not a criticism) before I'd even poured the custard on. I had to ask for a bowl to pour everything in. Why do restaurants insist on serving food on boards? Very silly! The pudding was actually very tasty, so no complaint there. The custard was also nice, albeit a bit tepid and lumpy!

I hope you take these comments back to the management and kitchen staff. No complaints, just constructive suggestions.

Our table was reserved in the conservatory which was perfect, the star lit sky made for a perfect view/back drop to a lovely evening. The staff were very friendly and the food was top quality. We had to ask for the garlic bread side we had ordered, which was then given free as we had asked for it, which was not necessary as we had only just begun eating. Great customer service.

    Lunch for pre-mother's day
    Table with a beautiful view
Plenty of choice on the menu.
    Service was perfect.
A little wait for 4 hot beef pies but then we were early and if you want freshly cooked food that is to be expected.

Pleasant and efficient staff. Outstanding views. Lovely atmosphere. Food was superb: batter on fish was light was a feather; steak pie was full of meat; veg was fresh.
We came for Mother's Day and my mum was delighted to find one of her all-time favourites- cheese pie - on the menu. You don't see it very often; she said it was one of the best she's ever tasted.

Beautiful setting, lovely to have a table in the window. The menu is good, with a good selection of seafood and fish dishes as well as other items. I have sea bass stuffed with shrimps (the small, grey Parkgate shrimps) and lemon which was delicious. My other, who has a small appetite, asked for whitebait, normally a starter, as a main course and this was no problem. My only suggestion was that the staff could be a little more attentive - they weren't very visible and after they gave me the dessert menu, forgot to come back to take my order. Once it did come, the local Parkgate ice cream was scrummy. Overal, a very good experience.

A very pleasant evening which just happened to be the warmest day so far this year accompanied by a brilliant sunset.
The food was good and staff went out of their way to accomodate our requirements (I am coeliac).
