Labelled ‘A serious foodie contender’ in The Midlands area by The Good Food Guide, 2 AA Rosette-awarded The Bluebell offers simple European cuisine with an indulgent twist. A Mediterranean-inspired decking area lends itself to al fresco dining, while the lavish Bluebell afternoon tea has become something of a trademark.

Garnering Michelin praise, The Bluebell menu showcases the work of expert chefs, and includes duck with pickled summer vegetables and halibut with almonds, smoked bacon and watercress sauce. Classics like fish and chips and ribeye steak with hand-cut chips are also on offer, while a white chocolate cheesecake with passionfruit and orange sorbet heads the desserts.

Take afternoon tea in the charming country-farmhouse dining room, where finely-trimmed finger sandwiches, homemade fruit scones, clotted cream and fresh jams dominate the delicacies. A selection of loose leaf teas and steaming hot coffees are paired with chocolate brownies, cinnamon Victoria sponge with orange buttercream, and passionfruit pavlova.

Swathed in black and white timber, The Bluebell in Warwickshire is a 7-minute walk from Henley-In-Arden Rail Station.

We visited with friends after giving the bluebell a bit of a break over the last couple of years due to the disappointing menu choice, which didn't excite us like it used to.
The menu is limited, however the quality is good. I don't eat meat so the fish/veggie choice means a lot to me.
Overall we had a lovely evening, good food and wine, very good service by the staff so we will visit again happily.
Then only thing I didn't like was being near the door, when opened it lets in the cold. In future I'll ask not to be near the main door.

We enjoyed the table by the fire, enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, where given plenty of time to eat and enjoyed every course, starting with home-made bread leading up to the main course where every detail was right.the chef did an excellent job, and the staff were friendly and caring. In all the right place to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

We really like the Bluebell in Henley. The décor is good and the food delicious, although the portion size is somewhat meagre. Unfortunately the ale was poor according to my husband who is a real ale enthusiast - he didn't finish his pint. I think they took this off the bill though. The best thing about it as far as we care concerned is you can bring your dog, as essentially, it remains a pub and they are not 'precious'. The staff are warm and welcoming.
