Labelled ‘A serious foodie contender’ in The Midlands area by The Good Food Guide, 2 AA Rosette-awarded The Bluebell offers simple European cuisine with an indulgent twist. A Mediterranean-inspired decking area lends itself to al fresco dining, while the lavish Bluebell afternoon tea has become something of a trademark.

Garnering Michelin praise, The Bluebell menu showcases the work of expert chefs, and includes duck with pickled summer vegetables and halibut with almonds, smoked bacon and watercress sauce. Classics like fish and chips and ribeye steak with hand-cut chips are also on offer, while a white chocolate cheesecake with passionfruit and orange sorbet heads the desserts.

Take afternoon tea in the charming country-farmhouse dining room, where finely-trimmed finger sandwiches, homemade fruit scones, clotted cream and fresh jams dominate the delicacies. A selection of loose leaf teas and steaming hot coffees are paired with chocolate brownies, cinnamon Victoria sponge with orange buttercream, and passionfruit pavlova.

Swathed in black and white timber, The Bluebell in Warwickshire is a 7-minute walk from Henley-In-Arden Rail Station.

Everything was fine although the lobster bisque was only lukewarm, all the 3 we had the same.
Weren't impressed with the rib eye steak either, half of it was fat,but not the "nice" kind of fat.

Very accommodating staff - fitted us in with a pushchair. Polite and friendly staff. Lovely food - four different meals all of which were a good standard.

Lovely small inn/pub, with a nice shabby-chic decour. Food was excellent, if a little expensive. Staff were attentative and food/drinks were brought out quickly.

A Revisit but not as great a experience this time
    Food was loverly- beautiful flavours
Just didn't feel as though we were made welcome- it was the overall experience last time that had us stay an extra night specially in the area this time!!
Asked for martini and just told no with no effort to appease, table was split from a setting of 4 with little thought to our comfort.

We were very pleased with the food, which was delicious and attractively presented. Food prices were reasonable, but we thought prices charged for fairly average wines were a bit steep.

Great food in a lovely atmosphere. Staff were polite and helpful.
Unhappy to be given olives with our pre-dinner drinks ("Have some olives whilst you wait") to find them on the menu we got later and charged for them. With the prices charged and the type of client they are aiming at/getting this isn't necessary; hints more of cheap restaurant in Spain. I'm always happy to add gratuity but we didn't based on this alone.
The prices are not the cheapest but the quality justifies the price. Both our starters were beautifully presented and tasted great. Our mains (Rib eye steak and Swordfish) were both cooked perfectly. The deserts (chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding) are to be left room for!
