Labelled ‘A serious foodie contender’ in The Midlands area by The Good Food Guide, 2 AA Rosette-awarded The Bluebell offers simple European cuisine with an indulgent twist. A Mediterranean-inspired decking area lends itself to al fresco dining, while the lavish Bluebell afternoon tea has become something of a trademark.

Garnering Michelin praise, The Bluebell menu showcases the work of expert chefs, and includes duck with pickled summer vegetables and halibut with almonds, smoked bacon and watercress sauce. Classics like fish and chips and ribeye steak with hand-cut chips are also on offer, while a white chocolate cheesecake with passionfruit and orange sorbet heads the desserts.

Take afternoon tea in the charming country-farmhouse dining room, where finely-trimmed finger sandwiches, homemade fruit scones, clotted cream and fresh jams dominate the delicacies. A selection of loose leaf teas and steaming hot coffees are paired with chocolate brownies, cinnamon Victoria sponge with orange buttercream, and passionfruit pavlova.

Swathed in black and white timber, The Bluebell in Warwickshire is a 7-minute walk from Henley-In-Arden Rail Station.

Excellent restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, great menu and food. Booked an early table and waited a while to be served but food arrived in good time and was excellent. Overall experience was tarnished by being ejected from our table at 8:30 despite being told we had the table until 9 when booking, as the restaurant had clearly overbooked.

Great atmosphere in the bluebell, staff friendly but had to wait quite a while for food which didn't disappoint!
    Would I recommend?..yes definitely.

Booked a table for 3 on Tue 7th March having enjoyed a previous visit. This time however my wife and a friend who joined us felt we will not be returning. The meal was good but the service was awful. It seemed as tho the place was being run with just two members of staff one of whom was working behind the bar, she in fact spotted after about 50 minutes that we had not been served even to drinks. Again she eventually came from behind the bar and took our drinks order, nothing seemed to be happening food wise to us or the other customers and it certainly wasn't busy. No it will take some improvements before we come back. The food as I said earlier was good.

I eat at The Bluebell a couple of times a year. This is the first time I have eaten here since it changed hands. Still excellent. The Whole Ham Hock is impressive and not for the faint hearted!

We have visited the Bluebell for special occasions many times over the last few years. Unfortunately there has been a recent change of management and the menu has changed drastically to be a more pub style menu, which isn't what we were after. We have plenty of pubs local to us. We used to make the 30 min drive for something more special and disappointingly the new management have moved away from this. They even decided to take off firm favourite drinks like the Bluebellini! On this occasion we decided to eat elsewhere. If it ain't broken, don't change it!
