had a great time with my relations. The forefinger sandwich was awesome. My Cajun burger was to die for.

Perfectly positioned by the Thames, The Bishop is a popular London pub and eatery thanks to its stunning river views. A modern British menu is supported by a comprehensive selection of drinks.

The Bishop menu features seasonal variations on British classics and changes regularly. Expect, though, appearances from patriotic favourites such as line-caught haddock with beer-battered chips, as well as freshly made, stone-baked pizzas. Steaks can be accompanied by the unusual and original marrow bone steak chasers.

Beyond the dining menu, enjoy sharing plates and famous Young’s cask ales, as well as an extensive wine menu and cocktail list. Stunning riverside views and a relaxing upstairs lounge room complete The Bishop experience.

The eclectic Bishop in Kingston-upon-Thames is a short walk from Kingston Bridge and a 5-minute drive from Hampton Court Palace.

They had no booking down for us. They gave us a table but no menu and then proceeded to tell us the kitchen closed at 8.30! So we went elsewhere.

My party with 6 other friends were delighted with all aspects of the Bishop. We had a most delightful waitress (Tia) who was friendly , efficient and charming. The food was enjoyed by all and the general atmosphere was excellent.

This is the second time we've eaten a Sunday roast there as a family and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Everybody enjoyed the food.

The restaurant is bright and decor excellent. It has lovely views of the Thames. We were a large party of 25 and staff were very accomodating and pleasant. Most people had the Bishops burger which they enjoyed.

Very poor service and food. Ordered wine and food at 1310. At 1330 returned to the bar to collect our bottles of wine and glasses. Starters arrived at 1350 ok. Mains very poor. Gammon slices much too thin and dry, served with yellow dying watercress. liver with burnt bacon uneatable. two fried eggs on the gammon had been kept under heat until glazed dry. Mushy peas dry and uneatable
Chips Ok. This was the poorest meal and worst service that any of our 4 could remember. With gin and tonics at £6.20 we will not be calling for drinks or food at the Bishop any time soon.

It was my friends birthday so we booked it because it is her favourite restaurant. The staff were super friendly and the food was gorgeous, love the egg on the burger! The staff lit the candles on the cake for us and brought it out without a hitch, I had small children with me too, one of whom is disabled and staff were all very accommodating.

Before booking The Bishop you should be aware this is not a restaurant but a pub and as such orders for drinks and food have to be made at the bar, which can become rather chaotic if you have a large party. I was not aware of this and if I had been would not have booked. Barely sufficient tables had been reserved and had not been laid out in any way. Cutlery was dumped on the table for us to sort out ourselves. When the food was served it was good pub grub.
