We felt really pressured by the waitresses to give our order. The food was below average. We ordered the seafood plater with lobster bisque. The seafood was cold, the bisque was cold and watery. We chose not to have deserts.

The food was excellent all be it a bit on the pricey side. Drinks were also expensive. The service was ok but we weren't offered the puddings menu at the end of our meal. For what we paid, £33 per head, I would have expected more .

We had a fabulous lunch of mussels mariniere perfectly cooked with two glasses each of Wit Kap Pater beer from Belgium. They weren't very busy as it was one
of the year's hottest days. The waitress couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Can't wait to visit again

As always fantastic atmosphere, great food and nice beer

Every mussel dish you could imagine but a restricted choice of anything else. We had the house mussels - OK but not outstanding. And they are a bit heavy on the cream and light on the white wine in the stock.
The service was very slow (although it was Bank Holiday weekend) and it's more a drinking place than a restaurant. The homemade beer was excellent and well priced however.

Slow service and got the order wrong thinking two were sharing a dish. The guy English may have been a problem here. Not impressed with the food. It has gone down since we visited last year.
    Everything just seemed tacky

Always lovely mussell dishes. Good range of beers. Service was slow, only down side.

Had to wait ages for service on saturday evening waiter very young rushed off his feet need more staff not worth the money.

scruffy appearance of the waiting staff hard to tell who was dining who was waiting on tables some sort of uniform would help.

promised a free shot but got fed up waiting paid and left.

    brian and vanessa
