With classic pub charm, The Bear Oxshott serves modern British delicacies alongside international flavours. Diners can enjoy the warm bar area, the relaxed back garden with a summer barbecue or the stunning front terrace.

With all food freshly prepared on the premises, The Bear Oxshott menu showcases a selection of refined seasonal dishes. Delicately crafted flavours include the classic steak and ale pie, and the chilli and garlic salmon salad with oriental slaw. A selection of prime steak cuts are served, as well as sharing boards loaded with an eclectic range of flavours.

On Sundays, a prime home-cooked roast joined by seasonal accompaniments is a firm favourite. A diverse range from the bar showcases cask conditioned ales, and a lengthy wine list.

Sheltered by lush greenery, The Bear Oxshott restaurant offers a tranquil setting. Oxshott Rail Station sits 5 minutes’ drive away.

We all had a lovely lunch opting for the 2 course set menu, raw salads were great together with a nice juicy steak! Surroundings were nice and spacious, furniture was comfy (we sat on a cushioned bench seat), service was good and attentive. Only one small complaint was having to ask for the table to be cleaned as there were crumbs on it. Oxshott is a lovely village.

A lovely meal for Father's Day.
Soup on Sunday was not the best soup we had very spicy.
The roar lunch was lovely bit roast potatoes were not cooked enough.
Fish cakes too many for a child to ea.
The Pimms Jug was too much for 2 people.
My son asked for choc milk we were served that before a couple of times. But sadly not today?!

Sloppy service. Unclean table, waiting staff standing in a corner rather than checking out the needs of customers, food poorly presented compared with what it used to be. Had to get up to ask someone to take our order. Had to get up to ask for the bill. Had to get up to pay for the bill. Waiting staff looked miserable, no welcome or thank-you / plesantaries. The experience has put us off returning.

We booked a table as we were offered a 10% discount and had always had great meals in the Bear before. When we arrived we noticed a lot of the bar and waiting staff at one end of the bar. Not good for trade. There did not seem to be anyone in charge to manage the pub. We were seated in a booth as requested, which was good. The waitress/manager was pleasant - the food was ok - nothing like before and quite expensive for what it was - burger/chips - steak/chips.

We had a very enjoyable evening, your staff were very friendly, attentive and refreshingly knowledgeable about the menu. The starters on the main menu were not to my taste so I was offered a tapa's as a starter from your special menu. The food was excellent and the main course arrived hot, which is good as so often meals arrived tepid.

Sunday lunch in May. Restaurant quiet. Staff friendly. Menu had few changes since last visit. They've added Tapas appetisers - unusual and well presented - choose 3 from 8 to share for £11.00. Good value! We had roasts - lamb with range of veg was excellent. Roast beef was tender, though sauce was perhaps too subtle for me. Excellent Yorkshire puds!
