Awarded 2 AA Rosettes over 9 years, The Bay Restaurant in Penzance enjoys panoramic sea views across to St Michael’s Mount and the scenic old town. Enjoy locally-made wine and cider on the Bay Restaurant terrace, perfect for al fresco dining.

The Bay Restaurant menu offers all-day dining, with farmhouse breakfast and light brunch dishes served each morning. The coastal views make a romantic backdrop for pan-fried beef fillet to share, monkfish medallions, grilled red mullet, or The Bay's delightful West Country afternoon tea.

Speciality dishes use the best shellfish from the local market, with luxurious lobster thermidor or steamed lobster with linguine. Artisinal Cornish cheese, warm almond pudding or prune crème brûlée are accompanied by a fine selection of dessert wines.

The Bay is happy to make special arrangements for celebrations. Penzance Train Station is a 7-minute walk from The Bay Restaurant on Britons Hill.

The restaurant is in a lovely location with wonderful views over the Bay. The food was excellent, although my husband compalined that the chips were too salty. Perhaps the chef could leave the seasoning to the customers. The waitress was charming and helpful and the service was also excellent. Altogether, a very enjoyable evening!

I was given a voucher by a friend and took an old friend with me. We both enjoyed our meal enormously especially the salmon starter.

Being local we come here fairly often but hadn't been for Sunday lunch before. Staff friendly and efficient. Water brought to the table with menus and our order taken in good time.
We arrived for 1.30 pm and there was no beef left for Sunday lunch, there was only lamb (or pork if we were prepared to wait longer). Didn't matter too much as we love lamb. Didn't have a starter so went straight to the main for which we waited about 20 minutes. Food arrived just about hot enough. was well cooked, tasty and a good sized portion, excellent yorkshire puddings!
Had a second course, pudding and cheese, both very good.
In my opinion, it would be great if all Sunday lunch meat options/choices were available throughout each serving and should be presented to table at a higher temperature

Great service. Friendly attentive staff, very natural, just wanting to make sure everything was as good as it could be for our special evening.
Good range on the menu and wine list including V and GF. Additional vegetable side orders are a good size; we chose two for the three of us. Everything very tasty and looking attractive on the plate.
Tea and coffee in the homely lounge. Just like you own the place for an evening.
