Awarded 2 AA Rosettes over 9 years, The Bay Restaurant in Penzance enjoys panoramic sea views across to St Michael’s Mount and the scenic old town. Enjoy locally-made wine and cider on the Bay Restaurant terrace, perfect for al fresco dining.

The Bay Restaurant menu offers all-day dining, with farmhouse breakfast and light brunch dishes served each morning. The coastal views make a romantic backdrop for pan-fried beef fillet to share, monkfish medallions, grilled red mullet, or The Bay's delightful West Country afternoon tea.

Speciality dishes use the best shellfish from the local market, with luxurious lobster thermidor or steamed lobster with linguine. Artisinal Cornish cheese, warm almond pudding or prune crème brûlée are accompanied by a fine selection of dessert wines.

The Bay is happy to make special arrangements for celebrations. Penzance Train Station is a 7-minute walk from The Bay Restaurant on Britons Hill.

Took visitors for Sunday lunch. The braised beef was very good , we all enjoyed it.
    Our waitress was excellent.
The restaurant suffers from only having a small clientele so the ambience isn't there. shame , it deserves better.

Would give the whole experience a 7/10. No parking available, friendly staff, good food (the duck was excellent) and lovely view but restaurant itself had little ambience, a few candles on the tables maybe!

The food was very good. The thing that let you down was the attitude of the people we met. On arrival (in the hotel reception) we were greeted with 'are you alright' when 'good evening' or even 'hello' would be much more preferable. The waitress who served us gave me the feeling that she didn't really want to be there, let alone be serving us. The waiter was very nice however. I also think that I should have had sourdough bread with one of my starters (I ordered two instead of a starter and a main) but I can't remember now. Only thought about it once I had left, due to jetlag I think. Chairs shabby - coming apart at the feet.

Amazing food. Lovely setting and a really nice evening. Topped off with complimentary prosecco for my girlfriends birthday. Couldn't reccomend more. Also very reasonably priced considering the quality of food.

Part of an elegant hotel that mixes old architecture with modern comforts and great service. You feel welcome as you walk in.

The restaurant is in a lovely location with wonderful views over the Bay. The food was excellent, although my husband compalined that the chips were too salty. Perhaps the chef could leave the seasoning to the customers. The waitress was charming and helpful and the service was also excellent. Altogether, a very enjoyable evening!
