As usual an excellent meal and a lovely Christmas feel to the hotel. Some staff seemed a bit more impersonal and abrupt than usual but this might have been because you were very busy.

Lovely experience. We arrived early so had a drink in their wonderful lounge area with comfy chairs. Canapea were served 1 mistake was they forgot my fiance was coeliac but they quickly changed them for coeliac friendly canapes.
We sat in the restaurant and were instantly relaxed. We chose the tasting menu and it was really good. Couple of small criticism notes. I found an olive stone in the olive and tomato bread but didn't want to cause an issue and complain. Also my fiances dessert was different to the menu choice as she was coeliac but she wasn't told before so that was annoying however the taste of the plate made up for that. It was a lovely atmosphere and a lovely evening.

The food was good, not great. Service and experience were wonderful. I needed today a few of the dishes, as they were not seasoned enough. Our favorite was the caramel fondant, which was outstanding. I would highlyrecommend adding plant based dishes to the menu.

Another superb lunch. First day of the festive menu with imaginative dishes and cooked to perfection. Excellent service too.
One little quibble, however. I ordered a small sparkling water and was brought a glass (I was expecting a small bottle) with no ice or lemon and it was totally flat. The waiter was apologetic and poured me another glass from a fresh bottle. When we came to pay I noticed we had been charged for a full bottle which we pointed out. This was then changed to a glass which at £1.70 I thought was a bit steep, especially in view of what had gone before.
However, I'm sure this was a one-off and we shall return - but maybe give the sparkling water a miss!!

The experience was fine. I liked the pre dinner cocktails in the sitting room and the tasting menu started on a high note. The wine we ordered wasn't great and the server incorrectly poured. The meat was definitely the highlight but the dessert left me very underwhelmed.

We have dined with you on many occasions and I love it and will be honest couldn't fault the food except my rice pudding was cold ?? but still good but i did feel it was highly unprofessional and very strange that the wine we ordered was brought to the table having been opened only to tell us its the last bottle not the end of the world but really think we should have been informed before it was opened as we then had to have a different one as well and would rather have stuck with the same. The waiting staff were very nice but got the meals to the wrong person on every course which doesn't normally happen and for me the biggest upset was to be told we couldn't sit in the lounge with our coffee something we always have done as no room only to see a perfectly good area we could have sat in on leaving small things but overall maybe not quite to the standard i have grown to expect from The Priory over the last twenty years that we have been coming !!

Superb food once again from Adam Simmonds. Had the pleasure of eating at Danesfield House when he was the chef there. It will be a shame that he will be gone after Xmas. The souffle was divine and the linguine was so tasty. . 'One of the best meals I have ever had'- my wife.
Service was excellent and very welcoming.
