Absolutely great restaurant, from the service to the food and the actual place. Lovely old décor steeped in history and very well looked after. Very comfortable seating, tables laid and attention to detail noted. The various food ordered came in pretty quick time, piping hot and was absolutely delicious. No complaints there at all. good price too. Definitely worth a visit and we will be going back. Do not let where this venue is put you off, well worth a visit

Great food in beautiful surroundings. Massaman curry was terrific! The lunch menu is good value and some great Oakham ales to choose from. Fast, polite service. My friend and I always call when Swansea play Aston Villa, only wish you where closer to Swansea, would visit more often!

Very busy Saturday lunch with lots of (well behaved) football fans. The food and service is amazing. Lovely, helpful, attentive waitresses and truly 100% authentic Thai food. The chicken pad Thai was amazing. I WILL be back....often.

I took my friend for her 40th birthday for a meal and it's was fantastic.
Beautiful pub .. excellent service and the food was outstanding.

Definitely worth a visit and I will going back soon. My only complaint ...well not really a complaint I guess more a suggestion is ... it would be nice to have some kind of hot hand towel or wipes for your hands after the meal , especially after the starter's as my hands were very sticky and to keep getting up and use the bathroom to wash my hands was a pain.

Our second visit to The Bartons Arms and again we weren't disappointed. The lunchtime special at £6.95 was extremely good value for money with a wide choice of dishes. The Bartons Arms is an interesting reminder of times gone by and a wonderful building. Couldn't have been easier
