Housed in a building dating back to 1651, The Barnt Green Inn is a refurbished gastro pub with a large patio for al fresco dining, serving a menu of modern British fare. Inside, wood carvings & mirrors adorn the walls, and the many leather sofas and open log fires ensure there is always a cosy space in the bar or restaurant to enjoy an intimate gathering.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Barnt Green Inn menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Barnt Green bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Barnt Green Inn in Birmingham is a 6-minute walk from Barnt Green Rail Station.

Dreadful. Booked Sunday roast. Arrived to be told it was off because they couldn't keep the meat warm!!! Arrived a t5 mins to 7. Order taken. Very pleasant staff. starter arrived and was good. Still waiting for main at 5 mins to 8. Queried and told it would be at least another 10 mins as there were two more tables before us. The restaurant was approx. quarter full ! We walked out after the Manager said she would investigate with the kitchen and phone me today - she hasn't . This is our second and last visit. On our first, the beer was off. It was replaced and they tried to charge us extra. Manager apologised on this occasion.

The service was very good. The staff were attentive but not pushy.
Plenty of choice on the menu & all our meals (we were a party of 7) were delicious & hot.
We were lucky to have a warm sunny day & so we sat outside in the garden which was delightful.
The only negative about the experience was the outrageous price for a glass of wine. Unfortunately, I have to admit this would prohibit us as a group from booking here again.

The food was lovely, a huge choice for a set menu. The cheeseboard at the end was immense.

Food was fabulous. Each course came with just the right rest in between courses. Scallops were perfectly cooked. The belgian waffle as an accompanying dish the duck as a main was a bit too sweet for me. The sharing dessert platter was delicious! Service and food was excellent.
