Good service with our set menu dining which was excellent value. Might there be scope to offer more than two choices? Food and wine were great and we plan to return for the tasting menu. Pleasant to be able to converse without background music.

Pure dining splendour is showcased with effortless chic at The Balcon. Combining traditional elegance with contemporary flair, this blend of London and Parisian grand brasserie boasts a champagne balcony and restaurant.

Fabulous blends of styles complement one another beautifully at The Balcon London. Dual spiral staircases make up the striking champagne balcony, which offers a select range of bottles that include Dom Perignon. Sweeping arches and crisp whites are set off by dark stained wood and leather furnishings.

The Balcon menu is a diverse blend of the finest traditional dishes given premium contemporary additions.

Also featuring an accomplished wine list and selection of spirits, The Balcon in St James's is just a 5-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

A lovely restaurant in a beautiful hotel. The deal was very good value, my only criticism would be a limited choice from the menu. That said, we all easily found something we liked. The twice baked soufflé was delicious, as was the char (fish) main course.
There was a nice atmosphere, friendly waiter. We all really enjoyed it.

Lovely decor in the restaurant and we were greeted nicely on arrival. Unfortunately the service went down hill from there somewhat. We ordered our drinks which didn't arrived and we were then asked by 2 other members of staff if we'd like to order a drink (which finally arrived about 15 minutes later)

The set menu was also not explained to us (we'd booked a deal through bookatable) so once we ordered the staff then had to come back and explain how it worked (and we had to reorder).

Seems like it needs some co-ordination in the waiting staff. They're all very pleasant, just very disorganized from our perspective.

Could not fault the food though which was excellent.

Not very good, I have dined at the Balcon many times over the past 2-3 years and always had a great meal and experience. I persuaded my out of town friends that we should meet at and enjoy the Balcon. One friend had to send her meal back it was cold and when it was returned it had clearly been put under a grill as it it was burnt and dry. The we were joined by a little grey mouse, admittedly they were digging up the road outside BUT. We ere not charged for the main course that was inedible and were given 2 complimentary glasses of wine but the whole day was ruined. My scallops were delicious although the sauce was too salty.
Unsure about recommending or visiting again, so disappointed it's been my favourite place to eat in the west end.

Very disappointed with the whole night. Fish was full of salt, not a lot of choices for all sections, had to pour our own drinks as head waiters to busy looking after the young women!! never got our coffee and didn't pay the 12% service charge.

Instead of having the special menu printed separately, a small asterisk against certain dishes on the main a la carte menu indicates what you can select - can you imagine how stupidly embarrassing this can be when you have to tell your unwary guests, sorry, you can't have that, you have to stick to the asterisks!! - how hard it is, after all, to print a separate menu? - as for the food, it was average - I had an excellent starter (rabbit's leg) and a terrible pannacotta sprinkled with tiny frozen raspberries to finish, and something pretty average in between - and when I got the bill I was amazed by the amount of add-ons, so beware! Otherwise, staff: friendly, location: excellent

First visit for over two years but standards were as high as ever. Could not fault the value, ambience or excellent service standards, and the food was delicious with good portion sizes.

Met a friend for lunch at The Balcon we had a lovely lunch the food was great and the service excellent. Everybody was really friendly and professional. Our table was booked for 1.30 and before we knew it, it was 5.45pm and there was no pressure for us to leave. Our friendly waiter even gave us a tour of the Hotel after our meal.I booked The Balcon as a treat for my friend as it was her Birthday and we were not disappointed.Lovely surroundings and atmosphere. We had a set 3 course meal with glass of champagne and coffee included which was very good value, well presented and very tasty. Would definitely return
