Set within a pretty coastal town, The Bakers Arms sits beneath a charming thatched roof, and serves classic British cuisine from a stretching menu. Inside The Bakers Arms in Dorset, a feature hearth houses a crackling log fire, alongside a largely candlelit dining room and secluded beer garden.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Bakers Arms menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Bakers Arms ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

The beautiful Brownsea Island is a half hour’s drive from The Bakers Arms in Poole, whilst Holton Heath Rail Station is a 5-minute drive away.

The food was really good, hot tasty and good value. You were very busy so service a little slow but our waiter did his best and was really helpful. I would certainly recommend the Bakers arms to friends.

Lovely rustic setting, firegoing, great atmosphere. We had a mushroom and cheese starter and for the main a pizza each. Very tasty and colour full. Well presented

Overall quite good, not as good as when we have been before. 2 of us were disappointed with the sausages. The service was good and very friendly staff, however nobody brought the bill and the lady who had been serving us and was extremely pleasant seemed to have disappeared and we in the end had to call a waiter from Other side of dining too and ask for the bill after waiting for quite a while to get so someone's attention.
We do like it at the Bakers Arms but a little disappointed with this visit.

Waitress was excellent in looking after us. Two of us had Rissoto which had peas and not broad beans as stated. We both thought it could have been served hotter. One had a fish dish served on very limp sad looking lettuce. As we were celebrating a birthday it wasn't appropriate to say anything.

This is our regular dining choice as the premises are warm, welcoming and spacious. The food has to date always been good and I gave nothing negative to say about the place

Arrived and seated almost immediately. (We booked on line an hour before we went) The meals were very nice, arrived hot and well presented. The veg was nice with roasted carrots triple cooked chips instead of the mash and the greens were well prepared with the right amount of crunch. The barbecue sauce was lovely and not overly sweet but smokey. The meals were ample for the price. The staff were lovely and not overly attentive, like some places. It was packed out but we will go again. Definitely on our "Go again." list.
