Five of us all chose the set menu for £19 for 3 courses. Very good value on 3 but portions on 2 main courses and one starter a bit mean. Food very good and well presented.
Coffee taken in lounge which is very comfortable.

Came for afternoon tea in 2016 which was amazing. Yesterday was a special treat for my 80 year old mum who is dying from cancer. I was disappointed. I felt overall it was not so nice. Last time we had scotch eggs, and other little nibbles such as smoked salmon on celery and a flat bread with something on. This time it was all sandwiches and cake, sausage roll. Nothing wrong with what we had just felt it was not as special as last time.

Excellent breakfast and ambience. Suited our business meeting.
The only downside was the seating bench: far too low for comfort. Non bench seating was requested when booking but it was not actionned sadly.

Thought the sandwiches were better than the cakes, rather a drab room with no windows, would be better in the evenings

All good thank you. With the exception of the over loud duty manager who sat fairly close organising what was presumably a wedding party with a customer in an incredibly loud voice - we didn't need to know all the various costs.
