Five of us dined at 8.30pm and ordered a variety of mains. Two mains (particularly the fish and chips) scored high praise and the other food was average. The wine was excellent! The service was not overly fussing - which is good - but the restaurant was very busy and the impression we got when we arrived was "Oh hmphhhh, another lot!". The place looks great, our table was lovely, seats very comfortable - and it was a nice temperature. It has a vibey atmosphere, but the flipside of that was we definitely had trouble hearing each other! I would say, however, that that was probably, in part, due to the width of our particular table, not due to excessive kitchen noise, music or any of those sorts of things, but I'd still hesitate to come again on that basis. Overall, we had a nice evening, the food was good enough and reasonably priced (with our wine and dine vouchers), the venue is very attractive and comfortable, we were in good spirits and the wine was especially delicious. It's just a shame we had to repeat every second sentence and yell across the table to each other.
