On your website you said that we could get a deal with Sunday roast so I booked for six people. When we got there the manageress had heard of no such deal. Please explain. Thank you. Mrs Lander

With an outdoor dining area overlooking the banks of the River Thames, The Albany is a gastro pub nestled outside Thames Ditton, just a 3-minute drive from the majestic Hampton Court Palace. A cosy retreat with cushioned armchairs, log fireplaces, polished stone floors & subdued lighting to set the mood, this country-style pub serves a mix of modern British & Mediterranean dishes.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Albany menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Albany bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The Albany in Surrey is just a 2-minute drive from Hampton Court and Thames Ditton Rail stations.

Had requested a table near the window (online) but were seated inside the room; no problem with that except the person seating us wasn't very polite when I queried the position. Food delicious!! Beer excellent too!

The 'Roasts from £11.95 didn't exist!
Food was good, though I had to ask for another potato, two small roast potatoes is a bit mean for an adult portion (plenty of cabbage though)!
Staff were nice and friendly, service good, especially considering how busy they were.

We dined at the Albany last night with a couple of friends. The setting is great staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food was nice but not worth the prices charged. It is a pub at the end of the day but not pub prices. You are paying for the location.I had the lamb which was very nice.one of our friends had the chicken which was very dry but this was taken off the bill with no questions asked.Seabass was good and also the linguine. All was very nice and we had a good evening but not really worth the price we paid but having said all that we would go again.
