Wonderful welcome and set up for a birthday meal. Attentive service, attention to detail and perfect delivery of some particular food issues for a couple of people. A perfect meal at a great location.

Another delicious meal at The Abbots Elm. Starters of Mackerel Pâte and Cicken Liver Parfait. Roast lamb and slow cooked beef cheek for main. Cheese and sticky toffee pudding for dessert followed by coffee.
The above may sound ordinary but it's the little touches that make eating at the Elm so special. We are never disappointed. Thank you.

    Lovely as usual

OK, but we've had better Sunday lunches, both in terms of ambience and menu selection. No roast beef lunch on offer and the pumpkin tart was tasteless. That is my view. My guests were quite impressed however, so that made the visit worthwhile.
