My second visit and food was even better than I remember! So many ingredients all combined in delicious dishes. I would happily eat here more often if I could afford to, even though I'm not vegetarian! Staff also great, relaxed and friendly vibe.

Welcomed promptly and with a smile. Xmas menu food excellent as was the wine - the blend of flavours unusual and complementary. I had the aubergine and my daughter the chinese buns. The marinated tofu starter was such a winner - full flavour but not filling. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. A good eating experience.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I have a love of great food and Terre a Terre was recommended as a culinary experience.
Having eaten in a lot of restaurants around the world over the years its rare to find somewhere that has unique and surprising food choices on the menu. Terre a Terre pulls it off. The food looks and tastes fantastic, the service was spot on. I will definitely return next time I am in Brighton.
we went for the £25 Tapas deal which I would recommend for anyone visiting the restaurant for the first time. Gives you a sample of their favourite dishes accompanied by a bowl of Chips and a carafe of Red or White wine.
Great restaurant, a great find, you need to eat here!

Unfortunately I was a disappointed as despite booking a take for two back in Sept we weren't in the restaurant at all but in the overflow area near the door. It was cold at times and because other diners were smoking just outside it was unpleasant to experience their smoke. Real shame as though it was meant to be a treat to come to you we had no atmosphere where we were, though waiting staff were nice. Tapas was a little cold on arrival too sadly.

Gorgeous mral rice buns. Waitress was very helpful and attentive. I mentioned it was my daughters birthday and they lighted candles and wrote happy birthday on her dessert, which was anaxing. Chocolate sharing dessert, we had to take some home as we were too full and it was too good to leave. Great night thanks you tere tere.

Had the halloumi pita dish which was very tasty but not the best main course I've had here. A bit basic and overpriced for what we got. However, excellent service, great wine and an amazing donut desert.

The food and service was pleasant. However the overall dining experience was spoilt by the following:
It was my wife's birthday so it was a special occasion for us. When both main courses arrived my wife's was cold and had to be sent back. It was meant to be hot, or at least warm! It could not be reheated of course, so had to be made from scratch again. That took quite a long time about 20 minutes or so. In the meantime I had to eat at least one half of my own main course, before it got cold itself. Which meant I left the second half of my meal to wait for the arrival of my wife's new main course, so we could at least eat together for part of the time. This meant that the rest of my food had gone cold, waiting for the arrival of my wife's main course again.
So while food and service (once the new main course had arrived) was fine , it was overshadowed somewhat by cold food being served in the first place.
Below I have said I would recommend the restaurant - but I would caveat it by saying that the customer needs to check the temperature of the food to ensure that the kitchen has not let out a meal that is cold or been left standing before arrival at the table. Which is a shame because once arrived at the right temperature the food was nice.

I have already written to your manager about the problems with food delivery. Our booking was for 1:30pm, but by 3:00pm we had not received our main course. The service delay throughout meant we didn't leave the restaurant until 4:45pm which is too long, especially as we had trains to catch. From looking around the restaurant it looked like most people were waiting a long time - there seemed to be spells when no food was appearing.
Another small thing - why is there only garlic bread available? You used to do a lovely selection of breads so as I can't eat garlic it means I am unable to have any bread (I have asked the last couple of times if there is an alternative but seemingly not).
But generally the food was good and we had a lovely waitress.

Food lovely as always. The most interesting and delicious vegetarian food I've eaten. This time went for vegan options which were just as gorgeous.
