Sandwiched between the historic Brighton Lanes, 2 AA Rosette-awarded vegetarian restaurant Terre a Terre is one of the town's most popular dining venues. Awarded a prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand, Terre a Terre has garnered favourable reviews from Hardens and The Good Food Guide and caters for al fresco dining with a suntrap terrace.
Highly recommended by the press, Terre a Terre is a regular feature in the Observer Food awards. The creative and playful approach to vegetarian cuisine at Terre a Terre ensures that the menu showcases an exotic and innovative selection of dishes.
Deep fried corn cakes rolled in spice dust lead the Terre a Terre menu, accompanied by chilli jelly, avocado hash and lime mojo, while a fried sandwich crammed with mozzarella, pine nut butter and tomato and capsicum jam head the main courses, paired with ratatouille and bloody mary gel. This inventive take on vegetarian cuisine is accompanied by a wide range of organic wines, beers and ciders. Children are welcome at Terre a Terre and have their own wholesome menu to choose from. Vegan and gluten-free options can be served on prior request.

We really enjoyed our meal at Terre a Terre. We'd wanted to revisit since our first meal there a few years ago but found it really hard to get to you after moving out of London. It's not your fault, but if would be great to have another location!
The only thing we didn't feel was as nice as it could have been was the pudding we chose. We had the chocolate truffle and it felt a bit dry and not as polished as the other dishes. We still ate it happily but it just could have been tastier!
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Overall really lovely meal , fantastic attentive service . My daughter is veggie . My wife and I are not. The waiter went to great pains to explain what everything was , and give personal experience of the food . He gave a great history of tbe business which was fascinating. This told me he loved his job and what he was doing . Instead of shove em in and out as many as you can with an attitude to service that I hate my job and the customer is just an inconvenience.. so it was really refreshing to see the opposite. The tates of all the different dishes was an assault on th be palette, of delight. My daughter loved the place . I love the idea the a business is still surviving after 25 years and is owned by original owners ! How refreshing these days in corporate take over. Pricing midrange - only slight gripe - but I understand eating out is an experience and the attention to the quality of the good and service offset this ... would highly recommend. Plush resist when we visit our daughter in the future. Thanks

Staff very friendly and helpful. Only criticism is noise level in larger part of restaurant - some soft furnishings might help and it was very warm and airless which staff also were finding. Suggest keep windows open and move e those who don't want to sit close (or don't like fresh air !) for the benefit of others. We moved to sit in front part which was much better. If we hadn't been able to do this we would have left ... sadly.

Wonderful vegetarian restaurant near Brighton seafront. Great variety of food and drink. Perfect size portions and beautifully presented. Very helpful waiters too. Would highly recommend and plan to revisit when I'm next in Brighton.
