i had invited a young Polish couple for a celebratory dinner as I had not been able to travel to Poland for their wedding. I had found Tatra on the Internet (wanted somewhere which looked attractive to young people and easily reached from their home and mine). I was severely delayed because of dreadful transport problems but the staff dealt with my keeping-in-touch telephone calls efficiently and pleasantly so my guests were not worried about my absence and could start their meal. I arrived worn-out, wet and frustrated, but that soon passed with a tot of excellent flavoured vodka. Also, service was sufficiently prompt that I caught up with my friends quite quickly. At the end, I sas given a sample of a special Polish dish (can't recall its name but rather like French rillettes) that the others had ordered to take away with them and which I was curious about. Although I live in Fulham I would definitely go back to Tatra with other people or on my own. Very nice atmosphere, though as an 83-year-old I did find it, like many restaurants, rather noisy, but it was a Saturday night.

Unfortunately, you can't book Tatra online on this site
