Michelin-starred Tamarind – Queen Street has been a staple of Mayfair fine dining since 1995. Winner of numerous awards, as well as praise from Gordon Ramsay, it serves an exciting menu of vibrant Indian cuisine in chic, elegant surroundings.

There are many vegetarian dishes on the Tamarind – Queen Street menu, including tandoor grilled portabello, shiitake and oyster mushrooms with pickled onions in a curry leaf dressing. Gourmet kebabs are a house speciality, and both seafood and lamb are blended with expert combinations of warming spices and cooling yoghurt.

A combination of cooling and lightly spiced desserts are served at Tamarind – Queen Street in Mayfair. The house speciality of grilled pineapple delicately spiced with chaat masala and ginger powder, served with coconut ice cream is a favourite. A superb wine list is available, as well as fragrant cocktails such as rose petal martinis.

Tamarind – Queen Street in Mayfair brings the exciting cuisine of India to the heart of London. Offering chic, elegant décor, it lays only 5 minutes’ walk from Green Park Tube Station.

A good Indian restaurant, but not not as excellent as they pretend to be. A definitely descending line since our last visit two years ago. For people with deep pockets only, the price-performance ratio definitely not satisfying.

Excellent service. Went for birthday lunch and the staff were especially nice to the birthday girl who got an extra dessert of chocolate cake with a candle. Food was delicious and the chef came out to chat and ask whether everything was to our taste. The set lunch with wine pairing was good value for the quality of food and wine. Would reccommend

Fabulous lunch. Barring the dessert, which was average, all the food was sensational especially the chicken starter!! Drinks options were also good but most of all for Michelin starred dining it was excellent value for money when looking for a high quality, quick lunch.

The dining experience was ok but felt it was overpriced.
It was a lovely with a great wine list but I would rush back.
Also, I got gursl in my chicken tikka which is off putting.

We had the taster menu, which was over priced for what we had. The flavours were basic for what it was. The service was great.

Tamarind is a hidden gem. At lunch time it is underused unlike other restaurants in the immediate area for a discreet conversation. The set menu is invariably excellent and the white chocolate mint leaves served with coffee are not to be missed.
