Boasting a huge beer garden and crackling fireplaces, The Swan Inn Tockington is a beautiful pub just outside Bristol. Leather couches and exposed wooden beams give a cosy feel, and a great beer and ale selection is served at the pumps.

Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, The Swan Inn menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.

The drinks list at The Swan Inn pub features carefully-chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.

Offering a family-friendly ambience throughout the day, The Swan Inn Tockington is only 9 minutes' drive from Pilning Rail Station.

A friend and I enjoyed a very nice carvery lunch on Sunday. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the venue added to the overall experience of our visit. There was a nice choice of puddings. Baked Alaska was something that I had not seen on any other restaurant menu-very nice. For me personally, the only thing that I would have liked would have been for the carrots to have been cooked just a little longer but that is just me!!

All in all a great experience.

    Thank you.

Great welcome preceded a very bubbly, busy atmosphere. Our party ordered the large cod and chips and I ordered the Tom Kerridge steak and ale pie with champ potato string beans, carrots, peas and broccoli together with a jug of gravy ( very tasty and delicious). The cod and chips were very ample in size and presented on a board with triple cooked chips in a bag and a choice of mushy or garden peas and a pot of tartar sauce. The portion sizes were such that we could not justify pigging out with a pudding so that will have to wait for next time for there surely will be one. Prices were very good, our main courses all around the £10 mark and drinks prices even better. Service was very good with very little delay between order and delivery to the table, especially bearing in mind that the food was freshly prepared. All in all we had a very enjoyable evening at very reasonable cost and we wiling have no hesitation in returning very soon.
