I must say I was very disappointed with the experience and the only saving grace was the fact that the company (ie my friends) and the view were amazing. We waited 45 minutes between ordering and finally receiving our afternoon tea. When we asked after 35 minutes where it was, we were informed it was coming just now - it finally arrived 10 minutes later. The sandwiches were dry and crusty, I think the reason behind this was the fact that the scones were not cooked (they came out fresh and warm)but the made the sandwiches well before they were ready and left them uncovered). Unfortunately I am not able to eat fish or egg and I received cucumber sandwiches with what seemed like half a cucumber in each sandwich (my friends had significantly less in theirs) and ham sandwiches but as said they had clearly been left on the side for some time and were very dry - however we were too hungry by that time and didn't particularly want to wait another 45 minutes for sandwiches to arrive. The cupcakes looked like they had been bought from a supermarket with a little bit of buttercream added as an after thought. However on the positive side 3 of each cake/pastry were provided which is relatively unusual. The service was average and I think training was definitely needed. The card machine didn't work so we had to go reception to pay and when we went downstairs we had to request that we have copies of our card receipts. One of the staff told my friend to take any coat (which did not impress her at all especially as she works in the hospitality sector). The toilets were also looking a little tired with one toilet not flushing and 1 sink not working. Nice view, great company - would I go back - probably not...

Had the traditional tea. Very basic cake selection. Have an allergy, the chef thought the best was around this was to give us 6 of the same cake. (Simple cream horn, way to much cream, didn't eat them all).
Have had lots of afternoon teas at various locations. For the price, this is certainly not one of the best, bit of a disappointment considering the setting.

Very nice location and atmosphere. Afternoon tea was quite nice too. However service was not great- took a long time for the staff to tend to us throughout the day.

Lovely setting, food ok... the menu said "a selection of" cupcakes, but there was only one, and the promised grand marnier cream horn was non-existent. No one checked in on us during our time dining and we had to literally beckon a waiter from the other side of the room to get some more drinks. Was ok, but not worth the price really...

Was served by a lovely young man from Hungary who was over here to learn English. I mention it was my friends 70th birthday and he did her a lovely surprise cake. Was nice he listened to the client and acted. Just little things make a big impression on people.

Did have to ask if we could be severed as when we 1st arrived no drinks order was taken .

The sandwiches was lovely and the champagne as well was lovely. Only disappointment is that they didn't refill the sandwiches when they finished and also the cakes was mainly chocolate and 1 selection of Macaroon. For that amount of money I think refilling the sandwiches would have been good. We had the expensive menu. Service was good though. Quality of product was good as well. Venue was really nice.
