Set in 4 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside, Summer Lodge Hotel Restaurant and Spa in Evershot is an elegant destination for fine dining. Natural light streams in to the refreshing conservatory dining area, with the menu, designed by acclaimed US chef Steven Titman, accompanied for an extensive wine list rated by Wine Spectator as one of the world’s finest.
The Summer Lodge menu makes the most of the south west’s excellent produce, with roast Dorset lamb, Rib of English beef and line-caught sea bass all present. Among the exquisite starters, try the wood pigeon with parsley and lemon gremolata, or Lyme Bay Scallops. For dessert, try English strawberry and Pistachio Mille Feuille or Hot Cointreau Souffle, to name a few.
Sumptuous Sunday lunches at the Summer Lodge restaurant include classic roasts as well as popular signature dishes. Meals especially designed for children make this a good choice for a family-friendly Suncay lunch in London.
The Summer Lodge Restaurant boasts a highly-regarded sommelier hosting regular wine dinners. Summer Lodge Hotel in Evershot is right in the centre of the village, and around 8 miles from Yeovil.

We booked a place for high tea and we were warm welcomed by the staff. Everything was prepared. It was like coming home. Delicious patisserie, scones homemade jam, sandwiches with excellent filling. It was just an angel that carressed our tongue

I have eaten in many excellent restaurants around the world but I can say without doubt, the dining experience I had with my partner at Summer Lodge was as good as any, possibly even the best. The staff were impeccable in how they treated us, the ambience created was perfect and the food was sumptuous. There is literally nothing I could fault about the entire evening. The venison was the best I have ever tasted.

In the past we have stayed at the Chesterfield and the Montaque in London, so know the excellence of Red Carnation. We made the booking for this lunch on line, we arrived a few minutes before time. The initial greeting was fine and we were asked if we would like a drink before lunch. We chose to go to the lounge. This was quiet with customers reading papers, hogging the fire and with bare feet on the sofa's. We felt that we were interlopers so asked to go to the dining room. After some time I approached the bar to get drinks, met a staff member on route and requested him to get 2 glasses of champagne. This he did. The dining foom was a delightful room although a little chilly, as it stayed throughout our meal. Service of food was eccellent. The food was very good with superb flavours. Perhaps the only fairly minor fault with the food was my pudding, being a lychee mouse with rhubafrb, although well presented but still slightly frozen in the centre. We took coffee in the lounge. Tucked back in a corner, the temperature was again on the chilly side. Seating was comfortable and coffee and service good. People now esting in the lounge also. The ambience not quite welcoming or to out liking. Paid the very reasonable bill at the bar. Overal a nice lunchtime.

Everything was excellent. The decor is really beautiful, the food was outstanding, and the service was great. The best was the wine the sommelier recommended, which was just unbelievable. Lovely afternoon.

Lovely atmosphere, correct and attentive service, super furnishings adding to experience. Flavours of each course getting better and better as you eat the dish. Each plate a work of art. The chocolate mousse and rhubarb dessert was a delight. Coffees taken in lounge by the open fire. Celebrated husband's birthday as a trial lunch now going back for parents diamond wedding treat. Perfect.

Delightful occasion. Staff impeccable in appearance and most helpful. Food as we have come to expect was excellent - good range in choices, portion size just right. We shall return!. Our Latvian waiter was the best and a great asset to you. Parking the car is not the easiest and for a first time visitor directions from the centre of Evershot are sparse to say the least.
