I suggested the Strand Carvery to friends and we had lunch there yesterday. Everyone was very pleased with their meal and we will certainly go there again.#
Good food reasonably priced.

We came here for the burgers, but the food was not tastefull at all. The meat was dried up and the bread was weak. I ordered a salad, but it never came. It took a very long time for waiting till finally the food was served. I will never come back.

Presentation, service, quality of foodwere all of the very highest order. The staff were excellent in their service, and I was made to feel that I was important to them. Nothing lacked in their attention to detail. The food was first class. The roast beef was the most tender, succulent and delicious that I have ever eaten. I asked to taste a sample before choosing, and upon that sample, I opted for the beef. All in all, dining was a most pleasant and relaxed experience. I certainly shall be returning again.

We have been coming here regularly for several years (five?) so we must like it. It is a convenient place to meet.
We like the staff: they are the right mix of efficient and friendly.
I like the cold dishes, though I think there is not as much choice as previously. The meat terrine was new to me and was very good. The lunch deal has become rather expensive at £14.50 for one course.
I liked the original restaurant, (Johnson's?) which offered a choice of mostly French food. Its prix fixe menu was great and very good value.

I need to tell you this carvery was bad!! Cool soup. Cold dry joints - probably there all day - and beef was appalling. Cold vegetables. Disgusting Yorkshire Pudding
I think they need a Health and Safety inspection.
Carvery almost empty and atmosphere bad.
Staff not that helpful. Need some training now that they are in the UK.
I had to insist I would not eat from the carvery.
Very reluctantly they agreed I could have a steak and not pay a surcharge for it.
They had to be asked rudely to find a steak knife!
They said they would not charge for our dessert. What an easy escape!
I was invited by friends so was not paying the bill.
I would have refused to pay.
The friends were also disgusted with the Strand Palace Carvery.
    Management really did not apologise.
    One disastrous evening out.
Thank you for this questionnaire so that I can complain and maybe stop others going there.

Venue was pleasant service was good unfortunately I chose beef from the carvery and it was very tough could not even tackle it with a steak knife, however the waitress brought some more turkey which was delicious.

Overall a good experience and suited the needs of the group of six friends. Service was a little slow - there did not seem to be sufficient staff. However the staff were helpful and very flexible.
Carvery - the range of starters was very good. The main course - choice of meat and vegetable satisfactory, but the food was only warm. Deserts were good.

We have had lunch at the Strand Palace carvery on several occasions. As usual the service is excellent and there is an excellent choice available, with something for most people. My favourite is the starter where there are many salads, fish and yesterday there was a very tasty Parma ham, although I noticed there was no smoked salmon which is usually there. Those who had the main course enjoyed the roast beef but noticed there was no pork or ham as advertised. The vegetables were excellent. Overall excellent value for London and highly recommend.

This was our second visit. I find the location ideal for a pre-theatre meal, and the carvery option is a great time-saver without reducing quality of meal. This time we also opted for the cold buffet starter which was excellent. We even got the same table as before as we requested it.
