Very enjoyable dining, food and service very good. The young waiter was very attentive with a nice warm manner. This was my second visit and I had booked for two friends for their first visit with me yesterday. They both enjoyed lunch and thought I had made a good choice of venue.

Had a lovely dinner in this restaurant as had eaten there before. Staff excellent very attentative. Downer was that the meat was lukewarm and the beef cut not cut it, turkey better. Would come back but would prefer different choices of meat next time.

Dining is in a canteen area. The roast beef was pretty good but the pork was less popular and had dried out. Overall a good meal but overpriced for the quality of food and location

I booked a table for 8 on Sunday 12/3 @ 1.00 p.m. and even though we all thought the meal was nice, I felt that the carvery could have been more enjoyable. The salad bar did not have as many choices as normal (even though we could see there was empty spaces waiting for items to replenished) The vegetables had started to dry out from the heated overhead lights, and the vegetable needed to be replenished as well. The restaurant was not fully booked or busy, so therefore I feel that the meal served should have been a higher standard. I have been eating at the Strand Palace restaurant (carvery & a-la-carte) for many years, and I personally felt disappointed as the meal was a family celebration and I highly recommended the venue for the celebration. Also on receiving the bill (which was £200 +) I noticed that we were charged £1.00 for a cup of hot water that one of the diners requested. The staff/service was to a good standard, and this is the first time I have replied to a dining survey, and hope all my comments will be taken on board and make my next visit to the Strand Palace restaurant a much more enjoyable experience.

We have visited the Strand Carvery a number of occasions in the past years. The ambiance is relaxing with excellent service from staff.
We enjoyed the starter with the choice of different salad and cold meat etc. The roast beef was very cleverly served with options of well done, medium and rare to serve customers, where you don't often get in a lot of other Carvery restaurants.
It was an enjoyable evening dining with our relatives from the US. I should add that the location was easy to find with plenty of transports and in the middle of theatre land.

Bar was really smart, comfy seats and private areas to sit in too. Restaurant was comfy, we sat near the door and was nice table for 4. Our waitress was Natalie and she was very polite and helpful. Food was excellent

Thank you for asking about my dining experience in your Strand Carvery and Grill restaurant. Although I live in Nottingham I always choose to have a meal here if there is time on a day trip. I find the value, choice and amount of food on offer to be excellent. However the only criticism I would have this time to be about two of the vegetables. Although I prefer vegetables to be 'al dente' the carrots and parsnips were incredibly hard. In fact I gave up trying to cut the parsnips with my knife and resorted to teeth and fingers! The staff are always very attentive and polite. I have recommended this restaurant to many people.
