A bubble of tranquility in Europe’s largest shopping centre, Strada Westfield is perched next to the magnificent Olympic Park. Italian delicacies are crafted in the flashy open kitchen.

Strada Italian restaurants are all about fresh, real Italian food. Made-from-scratch risottos, stone-baked pizzas, artisan ice cream, incredible Italian wines and coffee make up the Strada menu, and all meat and fish is cooked from fresh. A lengthy stock of premium ingredients includes higher welfare, grain-fed beef from Northamptonshire, found in Strada’s juicy taleggio burgers, and on a list of prime steaks.

Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout Strada restaurants, and cosy booths are the perfect setting for a cake-and-espresso pit stop. Not forgetting little foodies, the kids’ menu features miniature versions of delicious Italian classics.

Bright and glossy, Strada restaurant offers an open setting on the 2nd floor Westfield Stratford City. Stratford Rail Station sits adjacent to the shopping centre.

Amazingly disorganized kitchen. Our waiter left in a huff halfway through our meal! He seemed to be an excellent waiter, as was the fellow who filled in, but they can't provide well for the customers if the kitchen staff don't know what they are doing. Our waiter even made up a correct starter when the one presented by the kitchen was wrong, and they said they didn't have time to correct the error. Two fish dishes ordered, both very well cooked, but the trout was on the base supposed to be for the salmon and vice versa. This place will be fine if it can hire better employees for the kitchen. I can't recommend it now, unless you want to watch a comic scene.

I have dined on Sunday 10th February 2013 with friends and family in the evening after a whole day shopping at the Westfield complex. The food was good and also the time waiting for the food. My only complain is that I found a piece of metal in my starter plate and complained with the waiter. The shop manager said that he will do the necessary investigation and come back with the reply. But effectively he never came back. Though asked for a compensation for this incident, the Italian waiter tried to make fun out of this situation. I am terribly still angry and will not eat in any Strada restaurant in my whole life.

Booked online, great feature. Lunched in busy location so good to book. Staff very accomodating and pleasing. Did not charge for bottled water which was nice extra.
