Overlooking the canal at Portsmouth Harbour, Strada - Portsmouth evokes a sleek ambience. The stylish terrace offers peaceful al fresco dining, or diners can bask in the cosmopolitan bar area.

Strada Italian restaurants are all about fresh, real Italian food. Made-from-scratch risottos, stone-baked pizzas, artisan ice cream, incredible Italian wines and coffee make up the Strada menu, and all meat and fish is cooked from fresh. A lengthy stock of premium ingredients includes higher welfare, grain-fed beef from Northamptonshire, found in Strada’s juicy taleggio burgers, and on a list of prime steaks.

Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout Strada restaurants, and cosy booths are the perfect setting for a cake-and-espresso pit stop. Not forgetting little foodies, the kids’ menu features miniature versions of delicious Italian classics.

In a picturesque setting within the fashionable Gunwharf Quays shopping district, Strada Portsmouth offers a relaxing retreat from the bustle, just 4 minutes’ drive from Portsmouth Harbour Rail Station.

The food was delicious and coupled with such a lovely location, we had a very enjoyable evening.

Great location but sadly the food was awful, long wait for food and then it was cold when it came out, manager had a poor attitude to being picked up on this but then he was pretty reasonable with the money he gave us off when we came to pay eventally. Wouldn't dine here again unfortunately. But the pimms went down very well!

Generally excellent meal with excellent waitress. One aspect was disappointing - two of party had Risotto Luganica. One was fine but I learnt after we had left restaurant my son in law's only contained one meat ball. Phoned restaurant that evening and advised them; they promised to get back to me but still waiting.

Very good service and nice Pizza. We were not told that the Tastcard was not available to use on the set menu so the card was a waste of time.

disappointing. Food quality and presentation was below par. waiter was a sour-faced Italian who made us feel as welcome as a swarm of wasps. We ordered our starter and main. As I cannot eat large portions I ordered another starter for my main and explained this to him. They brought both our starters and my main at the same time so when my husband had his main, I had already eaten mine, otherwise it would have gone cold. Tomato bruschetta to start was dry as old bones with no flavour. Arancini was also tasteless and totally unseasoned. My husband's steak was Ok he says but it looked like a piece of old leather and presentation was appalling. The only good thing about our meal was my pannacotta for dessert which was lovely. My husband had three scoops of ice cream which were in a white bowl without a thought of presentation. We won't be going to Strada again.

Lovely meal with excellent service throughout. Would recommend tagliatelle bolognese, risotto verdure, tomato bruschetta but all dishes were delicious. Will definitely return.
