Housed within the bustling International Convention Centre, Strada Birmingham offers a varied menu of contemporary Mediterranean dishes in a bright, contemporary setting. The restaurant boasts a canal side location with al fresco dining in the summer months.

Strada Italian restaurants are all about fresh, real Italian food. Made-from-scratch risottos, stone-baked pizzas, artisan ice cream, incredible Italian wines and coffee make up the Strada menu, and all meat and fish is cooked from fresh. A lengthy stock of premium ingredients includes higher welfare, grain-fed beef from Northamptonshire, found in Strada’s juicy taleggio burgers, and on a list of prime steaks.

Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout Strada restaurants, and cosy booths are the perfect setting for a cake-and-espresso pit stop. Not forgetting little foodies, the kids’ menu features miniature versions of delicious Italian classics.

Within a minute's walk of the Symphony Hall and Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Birmingham Strada is a perfect venue for a pre-theatre or pre-concert meal.

My wife and I use this restaurant every time we go to a concert at the symphony hall say 3 to 4 times a year. The standard is usually very good. On this occasion I had the veal Milanese and found the bread crumb batter to be too soggy, which should not happen. I put this down to an isolated incident and do not feel sufficiently upset not to go there again although I will probably avoid the veal. There was also a slight mix up with the discount available to me as a member of the THSH but this was resolved amicably. The service was a little slow towards the end but we were still able to take our seats in the concert hall before the performance commenced. We will be going back in mid November.

The restaurant itself felt and looked very much like a large cafe, we had steak and tagliatelle bolognese. The steak although cooked as requested and was fine it came with French fries nd part from peppercorn sauce nothing else, it lacked either a little salad or veg so looked like something was missing. The bolognese could have done with having more sauce,it was dry and tasted like it had been left and reheated as tasted 'dry' 2 drinks cost £13 which was just a small house wine and beer.
The staff were very friendly and pleasant ,fortunately I was using a club card boost voucher so didn't pay the full price, otherwise I would have said not worthy of the price etc so although pleasant I would not rush back again

Have been here several times over the years - always enjoyed it. We have always been groups of 5 or more and experienced good food and good service - with staff humour being maintained even when the restaurant is very busy!

Restaurant was v busy when we arrived , our table wasn't available so we were asked to wait and given complimentary drinks. We waited 20 mins and got our table , as this was a pre theatre meal we were in a slight rush. Food came after about further 20 mins. I had ordered Pizza and side salad and when it arrived I had a half pizza and salad on the plate and separate side salad. Not sure if this was the norm and with time ticking by , and waiters very busy I ate the meal , which was very tasty. Towards the end waiter returned to ask if I was ok as I had been given wrong meal. When we got the bill i queried the full pizza price on the bill. The restaurant removed this from the bill as was their error. All in all the food we had was tasty and the service although very stretched was pleasant and responsive to the problems. We would go again but hope to not have same experience.
