Premium cuts of steak take pride of place on Steak on Stones menu, featuring traditional sirloin, fillet, and even kangaroo meat for those wanting something a little different. There are lighter sharers also on offer, including regional delicacies like haggis, black pudding and sage fritters with mustard mayo.

Freshly piped doughnuts are a speciality at Steak on Stones in Edinburgh. Other sweet treats include thick milkshakes with additions like Nutella and peanut butter. From the bar, there are inventive cocktails, international beers, and a carefully crafted wine list.

    Was disappointed with the presentation of the food, when I have had steak on a stone before it was an individual stone served with different sauces, salad and fries and was presented in a very apertising way, here you had to order everything separately and there was one large stone for everyone to use, also you had to put salt on the stone so it wouldn't burn! Consequently you steak tasted salty and at £25 per ribeye I was not impressed.
