An award-winning foodie haven, St Clement’s showcases honest British cuisine, with a special focus on fish and seafood. As well as achieving a coveted Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2012, praise comes courtesy of seafood expert, Rick Stein.

Offering a wholesome, honest selection of dishes weaved with quirky St Clement’s twists, favourites include Spanish fish stew with chick peas and chorizo, or baked scallops with lemongrass and chilli. Striving to source from local stocks and using simple, trusty cooking techniques, natural flavours shine through on the St Clement’s menu.

Creative and cleansing treats for desserts include elderflower jelly with summer fruits, or caramelised apricot tart. Testament to its mentions in The Good Food and Hardens guides, St Clement’s in St Leonards-on-Sea showcases a sensitively-compiled list of wines.

Enjoying a faithful foodie following, beautifully understated St Clement’s restaurant is an 8-minute walk from St Leonards Warrior Square Rail Station.

The food was delicious as always, it was our fifth visit and standards are just as high each time

Very good service food was good shame the desert had to be sent back as it was cold but that did not change what I thought of the restaurant. Nice atmosphere back ground music could have been a bit louder. Slightly overpriced for what you get. I would go back but would look for other places to eat first.

It was our second visit to St Clements booked on the back of a delicious food experience in December. We weren't disappointed . We went for Sunday lunch and the set menu provided excellent choice at a very good price. The quality of the food and intimate setting make it a special experience

Excellent meal with an original and varied selection of dishes. The Salmon Gravadlax was a favourite. Will definitely dine here again.

Have dined here on numerous occasions. Food was excellent (as always.) Service here tends towards the friendly rather than highly polished (eg table not cleared of surplus cutlery; my companion had the fish stew but no-one brought her a spoon) but everything arrived promptly and the waitress had an engaging and cheerful manner. The restaurant was surprisingly empty which we put down to a combination of the weather and post-Xmas blues but, on this occasion, I could not describe the atmosphere as "lively". As usual we had only mineral water but on the occasions we have had wine I have found the card to be quite adequate and reasonably priced.
