Dating back to 1986, Sonny’s Kitchen is a quirky and stylish London eatery from 2 Michelin-starred chef Phil Howard. Perfect for a whole range of dining demands, from bright and early brunches to supper clubs and dinner parties, the on-site food store makes it your one-stop-shop for all artisanal goodness.

Using the very best seasonal produce from the finest food producers, the Sonny’s Kitchen menu serves up contemporary British cuisine. Enjoy pan fried calves liver with creamed potato and bacon, or 35-day aged rib eye on the bone, served with fries and smoked bone marrow butter. Rustic plates include foie gras and chicken liver parfait on toasted sourdough, and slow-roasted Isle of White vine tomatoes with pesto on toasted ciabatta. The weekly-changing Sunday roast menu is undoubtedly a highlight.

A cool and contemporary dining space is the setting for these menu delights. With slick polished white tiles, stripped wooden floorboards and artwork adorning the walls, Sonny’s Kitchen restaurant is quirky and upbeat: the perfect venue for relaxed dining.

Rustic British cuisine from a 2-Michelin-starred chef, Sonny’s Kitche in Barnes sits 3minutes’ drive from Barnes and Barnes Bridge train stations.

Lovely food and excellent service as usual. Our children thought their pasta dishes were brilliant and ate it all.

My wife and I had 2 starters instead of a main course: Tiger Prawns on a bed of Squid-ink flavoured humus and Pate de Foie Gras, both of which were delicious. The service was good. The only disappointment was the carafe of Pinot Noir which was thin. The main wine list was extensive, but expensive, and we didn't need a whole bottle.

Lovely evening food delicious staff friendly although we felt a little rushed at the end of our meal

Food great as always, but service absolutely terrible. A load of staff working, but more content speaking with each other than on the task at hand. Such a shame. Not sure I would return as a result.

My family and I had a very nice lunch at Sonny's on New Year's Eve. Delicious food and very friendly service. We thought our main waiter Armand - a lovely New Zealander whose catch phrase was 'Cool Beans' - was wonderful. I would mark this restaurant highly for the warm welcome from all the staff, the relaxed atmosphere and great food. Thank you.

Sonny's is an outstanding local restaurant, we have been going there since it opened over 30 years ago. Went last night for dinner with friends and had a superb all round experience. Greeted by charming staff, welcomed to a lovely table by the roaring fire, with delicious wines and a highly creative menu that never fails to astonish and delight.

All three courses were wonderful from the cauliflower, mushroom and mimolette starter through perfectly cooked bream, to peanut chocolate parfait with banana ice-cream. Superb wine menu, and exceptionally good value. World-class cooking on the doorstep, faultless and well worth a visit.
