Sofra in Mayfair serves vibrant, fantastically varied Turkish cuisine. It was awarded a Top 5 Restaurant accolade by The Independent, and its chef / manager has appeared on BBC TV’s ‘Masterchef’.

The Sofra menu offers a fantastic range of choices. Traditional Turkish dishes such as lamb meatballs and lahmazza fuse perfectly with a wider range of international cuisine, like grilled succulent Malaysian prawns. Falafel and salad combinations are just the beginning of the vegetarian options.

Sofra set menus can be ordered which provide a wonderfully broad range of tastes. Pre and post-theatre options capitalise on the area’s entertainment venues, with only a 10-minute walk to the London Royal Academy of Arts. Separate champagne and wine lists, as well as house specialty desserts like Su Muhallebisi offer a perfect end to the meal.

Sofra in Mayfair offers eclectic yet approachable Turkish cuisine. Crisp, elegant décor enhances the contemporary mixes in the menu and overall dining experience.

Sadly not as good as it used to be. Service appalling. Relies too much on tourist trade. Portion size diminishing, prices rising

We booked months in advance but were given a table in the darkest tightest corner of the basement. There were only two of us. In fact another couple who were offered the table next to us rejected it as they found it claustrophobic. Surely we could have been seated upstairs after having booked so far ahead. We are also regulars at Sofra Mayfair. Not that we wanted special treatment, but a decent table shouldn't have been too much to ask for. We love the food at Sofra so we keep going back. But latest visit was uncomfortable especially when the staff in the kitchen were laughing loudly and not taking their work very seriously. The waiter kept telling them to quieten down but was not very successful. Very disappointed this time.

We had the lunchtime tasting menu, which was varied, piquant and pleasurable. It was very good value.

Very good. Food tasty. Service attentive without being too formal. Excellent value.

Terrible restaurant until now I have not been in a terrible restaurant table on the ground in a hole close and very noisy but for these prices the amount of food is not worth ...

Lovely little restaurant in the heart of Mayfair village. It seems much bigger because of clever use of mirrors. Lovely fresh white table linen and the tables decorated with a little throw of red ribbon. Excellent value for money, lovely ambience, courteous service and very good food. Highly recommended.
