We have used Smollensky's before for Pre-Theatre dinner. The atmosphere is very intimate, even with large groups nearby. The service was very good. Fast efficient and the staff very courteous.

Just a really poor dining experience, I wouldn't recommend. Food was fast but incredibly average. The staff had numerous fights while we were there and definitely don't put the customer first.

Food was ok but the service was very poor. Maybe the staff were out sick.

Lovely staff with pleasant enough atmostphere - definitely half office workers and half pre-theatre goers. Food took a while to come and was rather on the dry side, generous enough portion size and as I said earlier helpful friendly staff.

We had the pre theatre menu, food and service was good, with food recommenations too.

The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived(4P.M.) but,was very lively by the time we left(7 P.M.)
We had a negative incident when we arrived in that my daughter's finger was cut by a nail head that was sticking out of the front of the meet and greet desk.
The staff, however, handled the situation very well.
The service when we arrived was very attentive, but, this declined as the restaurant got busier.
The menu was comprehensive and offered food that I felt was appropreate for the time of day.
The food was very good and my steak was excellent in quality and was well cooked and presented.
There was a good cocktails menus with excellent Gin options.
Overall,I felt the meal was reasonable value.

We sat down at approx. 5.30pm so in the middle of the Saturday post/pre theatre dining, hence it was very busy. My only criticism is that the drinks we ordered took longer to be delivered than the food. This resulted in our pre-meal cocktails arriving after the starter - a mohito doesn't taste so good with calamari! I also asked for a glass of red wine with my meal and had practically completed my main course before that arrived. Get the co-ordination right and it's a great venue for a pre/post theatre meal.
