A celebration of London’s only functioning meat market, Top Floor is found within the Grade II-listed ‘Smiths’ of Smithfield. On the roof of this 4-storey building, the Top Floor offers stunning London panoramas from the sweeping terrace, and from the open-plan dining room with its floor-to-ceiling windows.

Sourcing ingredients from trusted suppliers, the ‘Smiths’ Top Floor menu is headed by supreme rare-breed beef and the freshest line-caught fish. Butchered and cut in house, meats include the trusty rump, fillet and sirloin, along with buy-by-weight pieces designed for sharing. Refined main courses also include poached monkfish with pumpkin, or steak & kidney pudding with braised red cabbage.

The ‘Smiths’ dining room offers a distinct New York feel, with plush booths, vast light-flooding windows, and a pristine white palette. A library of wines at SMITHS in London includes both easy-drinking bottles, and some of the most sought-after vintages available.

Mixing edgy styling with ingredients from some of the UK’s most celebrated suppliers, find ‘Smiths’ of Smithfield just 4 minutes’ walk from Farringdon Station.

Staff were wonderful and remembered my birthday -even presented me with some little cakes and a'Happy Birthday' plate. So nice.
The dining room was fabulous -great views and plenty of room between tables. The steak was very nice, but my of my, the chips really let it down. They were dry as a bone and had obviously been kept warm too long. They turned what could have been a splendid meal into an average affair. Such a pity because the staff, venue, steak and wine were wonderful.

Excellent location with lovely views over Smithfield Market and the London Cityscape beyond. We were greeted on arrival and shown to a nice half roundel table facing the views. Beautifully fresh bread and butter was provided and we then ordered the Fillet Steak, béarnaise sauce, chips and a glass of Malbec for £25 offer. The wine arrived quickly and was excellent and the steak arrived beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The steak was truly outstanding and delicious, the chips crispy on the outside and soft inside and the sauce was outstanding - really outstanding overall. We then decided on a desert with my wife going for the Cheesecake which again was outstanding and I chose the Lemon baked Alaska which was epic! Coffee with Petit fours was excellent also, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very good too. Hard to think of any way this could be improved.

Great welcome, excellent service. The steak, chips and Malbec special offer was really good value. Juicy, tasty steak, crisp and delicious chips and a delightful large glass of red. The view over London towards St Paul's provided an impressive backdrop. Enjoyed an excellent bottle of Organic Malbec, on the pricey side but still a beautiful bottle of wine. Our coats appeared automatically from the cloakroom on leaving. Will return.

Booked the £25.00 lunchtime menu of Fillet Steak, chips and glass of Malbec. Service was good and pleasant staff serving. Clean cutlery and glass. Chips were overdone in oven and poisoned with salt. Asked for Fillet steak cooked medium to well done but was tough as boots! One piece of salad, dried up and not fresh. Am sure if I had booked from menu and not gone with lunchtime offer the food would be good.

Food, service and view were all very good, and bill was not as expensive as I expected. Steak and chocolate pudding were excellent. Tables by window and comfortable booths behind, all with a good view of the skyline.
Would have liked more vegetarian options, but, to be fair, this is primarily a meat restaurant.

Smiths definitely lived up to my expectations! The service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was really good for a Monday evening. We went for the Steak deal but added a starter, sides and dessert. All of which were amazing. I definitely recommend the Lobster mac and cheese.

Everything was great. Must go if you like steak and great wine. The view was fantastic. Couldn't have asked for more.

We came for the special set menu special - overall the steak, chips, and wine was excellent. Loved the atmosphere sitting outside overlooking Smithfields market while the sun set. The two downers was the service (it was extremely slow and drawn out), and the Garden Salad we added (it was extremely salty/fishy). If the service was more spot on, we would have had a 2nd glass of wine.
