Specifically designed to offer spectacular views of The Shard, the Tower of London, St Paul's and the Gherkin, Skylounge is a classy cocktail retreat high above the urban sphere of London. With 360-degree views across the capital’s stretching skyline, diners can order from the sizzling 12th-floor barbecue, enjoy the secluded roof gardens during warmer weather, or dance the night away courtesy of Skylounge’s resident DJs.
Charcoal-grilled flaky fish leads the Skylounge menu, marinated in sticky honey and thyme and paired with a citrus salad, together with steamed Scottish mussels cooked in cider and served with smoked bacon and celery. Chocolate-dipped choux-pastries head the desserts, along with cubes of rich cheesecake or a white peach bellini. Choose from an eclectic array of imaginative cocktails or select from the wide range of whiskies, fine wines and bottled beers.
A stretching wooden walkway houses a number of scattered white tables, overlooking iconic landmarks from both the North and South Terraces. Inside, furnishing is stark and minimalist with an edgy, futuristic twist courtesy of LED lighting and glossy white surfaces.
The Tate Modern Gallery is a 5-minute drive over the River Thames, while Tower Bridge is just a 12-minute walk from Skylounge near Fenchurch Street.

I booked a table for Sunday afternoon for a drink and a light lunch. We were greeted and show times our table promptly and politely. The waitress came and took out order for drinks . We asked for some tap water as well as our drinks. We sat and chatted and admire the great view of London. It was a very relaxing. Out water never arrived. At least 30 mins passed and I asked the waitress for a menu . She promptly delivered this . We waited and waited for some one to come back to our table to ask if we were ready order or of we would like another drink. After nearly an hour I said to my partner we should leave and fine somewhere else to eat . I went to the toilet. I'm my abscense my partner managed to get the waitress attention and she had brought some water over to our table . We drank the water and I got the bill and paid . We left . The girls on the reception thanked us and wished us a pleasant afternoon.
I left feeling very disappointed with the whole experience. Not only had we not eaten but had only had one drink .other than a glass of water which arrived at our table and hour after asking for it . The restaurant was by no means busy . I apologised to my partner several times for the afternoon and left feeling very disappointed and a little angry to be honest at such poor service . I regularly eat in good restaurants especially those that offer amazing views of London. I truly feel that the service offered that afternoon let down the whole ambience and expierance that such wonderful views should be creating . I would not recommend your establishment to any of my friends .

A fantastic afternoon - great food and a wonderful view over London Town. The staff were very helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble - we even called ahead and asked for gluten free pasta which was available when we got there - will definitely be returning soon!
