The service was pleasant and personal, the waiters helpful and obliging. We were speedily served (told the waitress we were going to see Nigel Kennedy at the Royal Centre at 7.30). The food was delicious.

An arty café by day transforming into a sultry restaurant and cocktail bar in the evening, Sinatra’s Bar & Restaurant offers modern European cuisine. In a quaint, secluded area of the city, Sinatra’s opens its parasol-dotted terrace in warmer weather.

Alongside award-winning Sunday roasts, succulent steaks and staples like fish & chips, eclectic mains from the Sinatra’s menu include pork tenderloin with toffee apples & mustard dauphinoise, or succulent chicken breast with sweet potato hash. Trusty desserts include sticky treacle sponge pudding, or tangy lemon tart with lime-infused mascarpone.

A mix of modern international wines and Old World vintages are offered on the Sinatra’s restaurant wine list, while heady cocktail classics and super-chic sparkling mixes are shaken at the bar. During the day, Sinatra’s café in Nottingham serves a menu of light meals, gourmet brunches and wholesome pastas and salads.

Filled with natural light, a gallery of quirky pictures and plush velvet armchairs, Sinatra’s is one of Nottingham’s favourite restaurants. Nottingham Train Station is a 10-minute walk away.
