I and a friend took advantage of the Bookatable offer of 3 courses plus a glass for £29. The offer was reasonable and the menu offered a good choice, however the portions, especially for the mains, were a tad smaller than I would have liked!

Food and service good, but portions a little small

Lovely atmosphere. Service generally good. Excellent food, especially the main courses on the set menu - the cod dish I had was delicious. Good value for money. Disappointingly the toilets were rather dirty for a restaurant of this quality.

Very nice - beautiful location. Good food and service. Would recommend.

Lovely location and building but sadly the portions were a bit too small, with no sides offered and service tailed off towards the end of the evening. Equally, we weren't rushed on a Friday evening and good place for conversation without needing to shout.

An eased and pleasant greeting, excellent and responsive service, a fine and balanced menu adjusted to meet dietry needs, excellent preparation and presentation, an enjoyable unhurried ambience and fair pricing.

Whilst food remains acceptable, the service most certainly is not. My wife was pressurised into buying expensive wine even before we had been given menus, and we needed to be firm to make the guy go away. We did take a recommended wine, which, all four of us having tasted, was definitely not at its best. It was the first time in many years any of us had sent wine back, and the waiter argued with us as to the state of the bottle. It was reluctantly replaced. Coffee never actually arrived.

The overall price was very high compared to the quality

All in all a hostile, adversarial and costly experience we will not be repeating
