Great experience. Modern, chic, and not heaving. Nice food; well presented; and pleasant and prompt service

the first floor of the super-exclusive shopping centre One New Change, Searcys 1847 is a unique and stylish destination in the heart of the City. A glamorous centre-piece bar serves one of the most accomplished champagne lists in London, whilst speciality meatballs head up the menu.

The Searcys menu begins with a selection of Italian cheese and charcuterie boards, as well as irresistible sliders with brioche buns. The unique meatball selection is served with fresh pasta or gnocchi, and topped with hearty tomato sauce or pesto.

From the well-known and loved to rare and exclusive bottles, Searcys St Paul’s is famous for its stunning champagnes. Experimental signature cocktails are also consistently popular.

Designed by the Pulitzer Prize-winning architect, Jean Nouvel, the spectacular glass structure playing host to Searcys 1847 London offers breathtaking views onto St Paul’s Cathedral. St Paul’s Tube Station is 2 minutes’ walk away.

Nice Bar. Nice Bellini. Afternoon tea was ok. Could have been more content.

I bought this as a buyagift afternoon tea. brilliant service and I was able to have a salad instead of the cakes which was ideal

    Afternoon tea was very nice

The service was lovely with the waiter friendly and professional however, there wasn't a large selection of food to choose from. 4 salads and customisable meatball dishes. The salads were crisp and fresh but the beef meatballs were very dry and the pasta was rubbery. The chocolate fondant dessert I had was divine.

SO, a mixed review, I'd go there for drinks (and dessert) with the ladies again (and for a special occasion only as everything was very expensive on the menu) but not for lunch.

Fresh and tasty food at a reasonable price. Good atmosphere.

I had thought I was booking to eat at Searcy's at The Gherkin (AT THE GHERKIN) and stupidly hadn't realised that my location was One New Change in a shopping centre by St Paul's Cathedral! That was the first major disappointment. The second disappointment was the choice of food on the menu and the fact that they 'didn't really do desserts but something could be made up from the afternoon tea menu'. However, what we had was tasty. The glass of champagne was nice as was our additional glass of Gavi. Extensive champagne and wine list as one would expect. Food and service was very good. Not bothered about going back to have a glass of something in a shopping centre.

This was a Christmas gift and an afternoon tea we were looking forward to. We found the venue a bit like an airport bar and not the right setting for afternoon tea. You are given 3 quarters of a sandwich, which were made hours before hand and were dry, a scone with jam and cream and 4 tiny sweets. The Bellini and tea were nice. It all just felt wrong and somewhere you might just pop in if you were passing and not for a special treat. Left feeling disappointed having spent over an hour to get there and again over an hour to get home. More London venues would be good.

Very nice, but personally the portions were really small, and for such a price I expected more
