Boasting extraordinary views of London from its 39th-floor setting, Searcys at The Gherkin's 360-degree glass walls allow for uninterrupted city panoramas. Designed by Lord Foster and rising 180 metres above the city, Searcys sits in one of the world's most striking buildings.
A refined a la carte menu offers beautifully prepared dishes in a stunning, calm and luxurious setting. Sample the likes of sea bream with brown shrimp, or Gressingham duck breast with raspberry.
One of London’s most desirable dining experiences, Searcys at The Gherkin is found 5 minutes’ walk from Aldgate Tube Station. Please note, Searcys at The Gherkin requires each guest to present a form of ID when visiting the restaurant.

I really enjoyed dining at Searcys. The reception at the front desk was very helpful as well as the security staff. The cloakroom and the lady that took us to our table was also very polite. We were then seated and offered a glass of champagne on arrival. We were given the Food Festival menu although wasn't offered the other menu. I understand that when booking we had booked this menu although it would have been nice to have the option. We were offered bread to start and we then ordered our starters and main course which were really tasty and would highly recommend the sea bass. I ordered the Chocolate Delice for desert which was good although a little to chocolaty for me, I have to say that the ice cream was very good. We also ordered a bottle of wine which was really good. I would say that we didn't receive the same kind of service that other tables were receiving. We asked for the bill and noticed that every table got a sweet bite, although we didn't receive this. The restaurant seating area was simple but elegant which had amazing views of the city. We were sat on a middle table, although i would request a window seat for a better view. We were offered to take the rest of our drinks up to the bar, which had breathtaking views and we managed to get a seat by the window. We ordered a cheese board which was a nice snack for after dinner with some drinks. I would say if you are going to the Gherkin you should 100% go to the bar and order an Espresso Martini, one of the best I have ever had.
Overall, my experience of Searcys at The Gherkin was very good and I would highly recommend going, although perhaps try their A la Carte menu.

Vibrant & Exciting ......... or Busy & Noisy! Take your pick. I prefer the former. It was certainly a full restaurant, with comings and goings and bustling staff appearing at your table to pour more drinks or ask if things were ok. But if you wanted a quiet dinner, then this was not the place. The service was excellent - focused but not intrusive. The food was very good particularly the butternut veloute and the ox cheek. The restaurant in in the very top of the Gherkin, with the bar directly above it - you couldn't get any higher. Fantastic city views, especially at night.

Once through security, warm welcome and went to bar as early, great views, slow service bar, then restaurant staff very help full getting old fart down stairs again. Good meal, greatly enjoyed even on a offer deal, not cheap as you are paying for view and they have to get their rent back. Staff good in restaurant and as stated food good.
You have to visit for food and view and with the view and food combined a visit to all should make. You only live once so do it !
