Wonderful evening for the two of us this Valentines. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our meal was modern and delightful. There was was a lovely atmosphere to the evening which was carried through into the bar upstairs. Thanks to all who looked after us.

Quite good food but not as good as I expected it to be. Food presentation was better than the taste. The dessert was the best part of the meal.
I love really good food so for me this experience was a bit disappointing. Not worth the money either.

Disappointing , will not be returning. Limited menu choice of 5 starters, 5 main, 5 desserts for set price of £45 pp. I say set, as it costs an extra £5 for cheese as a dessert ! Really !
Both our main was tepid, my duck egg starter was basically egg soup - disgusting ! The worst starter I have ever had in my life,
Location it its USP and that it what you are paying for - literally !
But even that was just ok - the windows were filthy.

Atmosphere was good, hosts were good on arrival. Great view. That's about where it stops. As the evening went on it felt a little chaotic. The first three courses came so quickly we didn't know what had hit us. Course 1 was tasteless. My parnters non fish course (which had been requested 3 times) was definitely fish. Food arrived when I was away from the table leaving a cold main course. There was then a 45 minute wait for a slice of cheese, my partner doesn't eat Brie, which again we'd told the waiter. Then dessert came very quickly. Wine took forever to come and we only managed to get one glass for the whole meal. Tap water was poured into my sparkling water twice.
For over £200 I'd of expected better. Barry Tonks - high exepctations. Unfortunately left disappointed with a dent in my pocket.

The ox cheek just melted in the mouth. I enjoyed the crab but found it a little dry, otherwise an outstanding meal.

We had a wonderful time in your restaurant. We had a really warm welcome at our arrival. The staff was very professional, helpful and caring which made us feel special. So in one word the service was impaccable. The food was hot, delicious and nice looking, and served really quick. The price was also reasonable. We were absolutely delighted with everything. The only negative thing I would like to mention was the noise coming down from the bar which ruined the atmosphere of a nice romantic dinner a bit.
