Contemporary, casual and cool, SCOSSA is a chilled out oasis in the centre of non-stop Amsterdam. The menu is awash with delicious Italian cuisine. The large open kitchen creates an entertaining dialogue between the chefs and the bustling room of guests. An orange, red and blue color scheme creates warmth, adding to the friendliness of the welcome you'll receive. There's a delicate balance between relaxed and vibrant that many strive to achieve, but few pull off with as much aplomb as SCOSSA.

Service was good not great. Please allow people slightly more time to choose their dishes. And pay attention to when people have finished their glass of wine and proactively offer a new glass of wine. I waited and waited and no one noticed, I had to waive for my server to come and poor me another glass.

This is all nitpicking. It's a 3 out of 5 star service, which is still good. But it just could have been better.

    Food was really tasty:
    - The risotto/mozarella balls were delish.
    - The grilled vegetables not only looked great but tasted also very fresh,
    - The goat cheese ravioli with tomato sauce was so-so. Very very basic dish. The tomato sauce is just that. Definitely a dish that needs to be improved. Very small portion size!
    - The seafood risotto my friend had looked amazing and apparently also tasted amazing. Very good portion size.

Because the difference of the portion size of the main dishes I (goat cheese ravioli) was finished 15 minutes earlier hahaha. And I'm not a fast eater. So that was a bummer.

Deserts, we had tiramisu and grappa panna cotta and both were absolutely delicious. The tiramisu was very cream, not drenched (which I prefer) with rum. The panna cotta was delicious, the grappa flavour was strong (which I prefer as well).
