    Booking service good.
    Decor pleasant
Reception good, pleasant...we had arrived early but no problem.
Unfortunately my daughter and I found the service very slow and we had the feeling there were far too many staff hanging around doing nothing..the restaurant was not full!
We ordered lamb ...medium ...but it was more medium rare .....
On the whole ,thought the bill of over £100. Pounds for two was a little over the top.
    Will not be going back

The waiting staff were generally inexperienced and not attentive. The vegetables were cold. Once we ordered new vegetables and potatoes the food was good.

Restaurant was nowhere near full on a Saturday night in August, suggesting the prices are a little too high for the area and or the clientele of the Hilton Bournemouth, in which it sits. Menu offered good and interesting choices. All dishes were well presented and tasty. I particularly enjoyed the Monkfish Scampi and Veal T-Bone. Wine list was OK but expensive (relatively) and not extensive. Service was good but not exemplary. Observing the chefs in the open kitchen was interesting. We enjoyed our visit and would go again.

Looked good when booking as love British cuisine. When arrived at the restaurant was greeted well. Menu was very small as wine list took up more of it. Soup for starter had far far to much pepper in which caused tongue to be sore. Main course of lamb cooked well. Pudding very very very disappointing. I couldn't eat anything as 3/4 of the pudding list had alcohol in it which I don't like and the other 1/4 was fruit or cheese again something I do not like. Had to resort to a vanilla ice cream in the end. Soft drinks over price for the size of 200ml coke which for a drinking of soft drinks was very very disappointing. Loved watching the chefs cook the meals fresh. Waitress Elina a delight and catered for my pickiness when ordering my main course.
