This restaurant was recommended by a friend. The whole décor and ambience of the place was surreal. I felt as though I was on the set of Phantom of the Opera. The food was absolutely wonderful, and the waiter service was excellent. I will definitely go back if in the area.

The atmosphere was really amazing, a restaurant like no other. We enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. The tenor menu was perfect before going to the theatre.

I visited Sarastro with my girlfriend for our first anniversary, and had a great time. The first thing I would note is that if you prefer a more private/enclosed table it is best to say this in the booking notes, as some tables were very close to others and perhaps not suited to a romantic occasion.

The restaurant itself is an incredible work of art, with something different to look at in every direction. We were also lucky enough to go on a night of live music, which was brilliant - the Spanish singer had almost the whole restaurant up dancing by the end of the night!

The food was also very good. Although not stunning, it was certainly good enough not to warrant any significant criticism, and was of sufficient quality to justify the slightly higher prices. I ordered the rack of lamb, which was presented beautifully, while her lamb kofte was also delicious. We shared 3 starters of Sucuk, scallops, and hummus, which were also wonderful.

The only real negative we found was that our waitress was unfortunately a little too keen to take our orders at the beginning. Every 2 minutes starting from when we sat down we were asked if we were ready to order... However I'm assuming we made it clear to her that we were in no rush at all, and eventually the intensity did ease.

In general, a wonderlly quirky restaurant with very good food. I would definitely recommend going on a live music night as the atmosphere is wonderful. Certainly somewhere to visit if you are bored of the usual Italian, Asian, American, and British restaurants around London.
