A chic pop-up dining hotspot in London, Sanderson showcases eclectic international indulgences in a year-round summery setting. At the luxurious 5-star Sanderson Hotel, the buzzing Long Bar and the exquisite courtyard garden bar serve up fresh, exotic cocktails whilst the Mad Hatter's Tea Party at Sanderson offers a unique twist on the classic afternoon tea.

Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland, menus are hidden inside vintage book, kings and queens adorn teapots and sandwich plates decorated with zebras, birdcages and ticking clocks.

The Mad Hatters afternoon tea menu features delectable savoury bites, including smoked salmon quails egg with caviar and cream cheese, and melt-in-your-mouth King of Hearts parmesan croque-monsieur stack.

Completing the experience, come face to face with Tweedle Dee’s lemon and curd financier before enjoying the mocha chessboard gateau and with the Mad March Hare vanilla pocket watch macaroon, there’s no excuse to be late for this important date! Wash everything down with Alice’s cinnamon, apple and peach “Drink Me” potion and for the afternoon tea traditionalists, finish up with warm scones clotted cream and fruit preserves.

Diverse flavours and eclectic recipes make Sanderson in Fitzrovia a favourite in London’s fashionable West End. Goodge Street Tube Station is a 6-minute walk away.

lovely hotel , very sociable place.
there was a small selection of sandwiches-perhaps we should have been asked if we would like some more.....

Loved the quirky décor and furniture. The whole themed experience was great and lovely setting around the pool and waterfall.

I thought the service was awful. I was expecting an explanation of what we were being offered on our 3 tier platter. Like the couple who arrived 30 minute later and were seated on the table next to us. The cakes/sweets were disappointing. Although the savouries were visually appetising and tasty. We visited the Sanderson for mad hatters afternoon tea 3 years ago and were very impressed with the coulorful sandwiches, impressive detailed cakes, as well as the friendly and attentive service. Hence the return. Both my daughter & I said we will not be going back or recommending this place.

A very special experience! Every detail including crockery, menu and the most delicious drinks and eats had been carefully thought out from Down the Rabbit Hole Cocktail to Mad March Hare pocket watch macaroon and a chocolate blue caterpillar to name but a few. For any lover of 'Alice in Wonderland' this is a 'must do' experience. We enjoyed our tea sitting in the hotel's most attractive courtyard under a magical fairy tale tree with the sound of gently running water in the background.

Wonderful presentation and delicious food. Felt it was value for money, given that there was endless refills of food and drink.
