A chic pop-up dining hotspot in London, Sanderson showcases eclectic international indulgences in a year-round summery setting. At the luxurious 5-star Sanderson Hotel, the buzzing Long Bar and the exquisite courtyard garden bar serve up fresh, exotic cocktails whilst the Mad Hatter's Tea Party at Sanderson offers a unique twist on the classic afternoon tea.

Created by the renowned Paris-based architect and designer, Philippe Starck, Sanderson in London is a sleek, urban oasis. After dark, a select line-up of DJs play music into the early hours, and a range of exclusive cocktails are served including the Black Bison, or the renowned Love and Rockets cocktail.

From Friday 5th June Sanderson plays host to a summer residency from Allan Pickett, former head chef at Plateau and Orrery. Reflecting the seasonality of British produce, the menu changes regularly and blends classic and contemporary cooking. Expect dishes like seared red mullet with onion farcie and saffron rouille sauce, and desserts like caramelised apricots with fresh almonds and cocoa nib tuile.

Tucked away behind the bustle of Oxford Street, the Sanderson's beautiful gardens and heated outdoor terrace offer the perfect spot to sample Pickett's dishes packed with the flavours of the summer.

For afternoon tea at Sanderson in London, a truly magical twist sees guests indulge in Alice in Wonderland-style treats. At the Mad Hatter’s tea party, guests choose from a menu concealed within vintage books, and use napkins inscribed with riddles, while fantastical treats include marshmallow mushrooms, carrot meringue, Swiss roll-style sandwiches and a miniature ‘Drink Me’ potion.

Diverse British flavours and eclectic recipes make Sanderson in Fitzrovia a favourite in London’s fashionable West End. Goodge Street Tube Station is a 6-minute walk away.

It was unusual and quirky, we had the Mad hatters afternoon tea. Staff were good but the service was a bit hit and miss, we asked for top up on teas and sandwiches and we waited over 15 minutes and then had to ask again. On one of the hottest days of the year we had to sit inside as they said that all the tables were reserved for people coming for drinks by the time that we had left they were still empty.

Attended the Mad Hatter's Tea Party at Sanderson Hotel, London. It was a most enjoyable experience and the venue was lovely. There was a good relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very polite, cheerful and clearly working very hard. We ended our afternoon there by having a cocktail at the bar which was a perfect end to a most enjoyable day.

I took my mum to the Sanderson for Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea and it was brilliant. The little details, unusual teas and amazing flavours made it such a unique take on a traditional meal. The service was brilliant although the tables were a little close but the outdoor seating and atmosphere was all wonderful. I've already started recommending it to friends and family!

Fun quirky afternoon tea. Lovely setting outside in the courtyard. The tea looked lovely. I personally found the cake selection was all too creamy. Having said that we had a lovely afternoon

Hotel is well located off Oxford Street. We were sat outside on the Terrace which was a lovely setting as it was a beautiful warm day. As a negative point I would say the seating was rather uncomfortable - we sat on a cushioned bench with nothing to lean back on and a pouffe type stool. The afternoon tea options were explained to us and there was a good option of teas and coffees all included and unlimited. The tea stands are quite impressive and attractive with lots of attention to detail. The sandwiches were all fresh and on different flavoured breads. The clock Victoria sponge was rather disappointing sadly. The scones were very fresh and there were sweet and savoury ones - cheese and chive and choc chip. A lovely afternoon spent with friends at a very novelty tea. I have had afternoon teas that are better value and tastier, but great for something different.

Amazing atmosphere and 5 star service the food was great some of the sandwiches not to my taste but good selection and refills were free which is quite unusual for these type of afternoon tea! Great experience would definitely go again !
