It was a Christmas present for my mum- we try a different afternoon tea experience every year- and it was perfect. We would definitely come back. The teas were particularly lovely. Different blends which we both loved. Also our waitress was really lovely. Thank you :-)

A chic pop-up dining hotspot in London, Sanderson showcases eclectic international indulgences in a year-round summery setting. At the luxurious 5-star Sanderson Hotel, the buzzing Long Bar and the exquisite courtyard garden bar serve up fresh, exotic cocktails whilst the Mad Hatter's Tea Party at Sanderson offers a unique twist on the classic afternoon tea.
Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland, menus are hidden inside vintage bookcases, kings and queens adorn teapots, and speciality sandwiches are served on plates decorated with birdcages, carousels and ticking clocks. Savoury treats include the goats’ cheese croquet monsieur, and white crab eclairs.
Completing the experience, sinful scones are joined by a red velvet ladybird cake and coffee-flavoured pocket-watch macarons. . The star attraction, however, is the collection of Sanderson-exclusive teas, featuring China Black Tea infused with hints of blackcurrant, vanilla, caramel, citrus, bergamot, blue cornflowers and blue mallow flowers.
Diverse flavours and eclectic recipes make Sanderson in Fitzrovia a favourite in London’s fashionable West End. Goodge Street Tube Station is a 6-minute walk away.

good but too expensive

Was absolutely lovely, the service was excellent and we did not have to call over for any service as the waiter refilled drinks cleared plates and asked if we wanted anything more at the right times. Food was filling, thinking shildnt have gone for the second plate of sandwiches. It is expensive but you are paying for top quality service and food . : )

We had a fabulous experience, the atmosphere was delightful, the teas were delicious as for the the sandwiches they looked as good as they tasted and that goes for the cakes too beautifully designed with every detail thought off.
The staff were friendly and took the time and care to make sure all ingredients I am allergic too was replaced with just as beautiful designed cakes definitely a ten out of ten

It has potential to be as good as the ritz or the shard. However cutlery slightly dirty and cheap.
Tea was nice but sandwiches not good.
The ballerina sugar box didn't work.
The cake stand was best bit and that's the direction they need to go.
Not value for money as it's not on par with other hotels.
Need new changes if I were to recommend.

Was great - quirky and lovely. More sweet than savoury - very sugary! But really fun with excellent service.

The food was really nice, maybe more sandwich options? The service started off quick but then got a bit slow.

The Mad Hatter's Tea Party was a delight. Everything was delicious and the staff were wonderful.
Our favourites were the Cheshire Cat tea, which tasted of marmalade, scotch egg, the lovely gooey marzipan ladybird and the blue caterpillar.
We loved the cosy feeling of blankets and cushions. the music was an interesting mix, and not obtrusive.
