Good dinner - with some dishes better (ox cheek) than others (mackerel) - and nice atmosphere
Service was attentive but could have been more professional (didn't serve the ladies first, didn't place the cutlery correctly, didn't get us to taste the wine before serving it...) - nothing terrible, but worth improving

Amazing restaurant. Starter was gorgeous to look at and the best beetroot I've had! Main of bass with squid ink was elegant and substantial at the same time. Flavours here are bold combinations that work fantastically. Plates are a work of art but don't feel over produced. The atmosphere here is brilliant too, with an open kitchen and friendly chefs grafting away.

You have to look at the food then look again at the price to make sure you're not reading it wrong. The prices, hovering just above gastro pub prices, are ridiculous. For how intimidatingly professional the plates are, how artfully presented, and the quality of ingredients, they could charge a third again on top of these prices. They would not look out of place at The Berkeley - seriously.

On top of all of this swankiness, all staff were brilliant - really friendly and informal which added to the whole layout there.

Stop reading this now and just go and book a table there.

Nice ambience but overpriced for what it is , good potion size not too big but some dishes lacking seasoning a bit

    Food excellent.
Service a little slow at first, as the restaurant seemed to fill in around 10 minutes (we had an early booking at 18.45) - but overall very good.
Slight hiccough with payment system on leaving - we waited 15 minutes to pay the bill. Perhaps they should have offered a drink as compensation.
They do give you 2 hours per sitting, which is just about enough if you have 3 courses.

We were really impressed by the standard of cooking here - quite fancy but really paid off. The beetroot starter really brought out the range of flavours you get from beetroot - not your usual earthy taste and three different preparations to match the goats curd. The bass was pitch perfect and I Ioved the squids ink sauce. The chef(s)? clearly really care here.
