A London dining landmark for over 30 years, R.S. Hispaniola restaurant ship gives diners classic elegance on the River Thames. Moored at Victoria Embankment, stunning river views are offered on the sun terraces and upper deck bar.

Effortlessly romantic, the R.S. Hispaniola restaurant sits just across from the London Eye, and benefits from the sparkle of its lights on the water. Al fresco dining on deck in the warmer months is perfect for enjoying one of the many wines on offer, and R.S. Hispaniola London also serves a popular afternoon tea menu.

Modern British and European cuisine feature on the R.S. Hispaniola menu. Bold flavour and texture combinations feature in dishes like wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil and shaved parmesan. Fresh seafood options are also available, like South Coast plaice with sautéed spinach, burnt butter and capers.

The R.S. Hispaniola offers romance and spectacle, just a short walk from Charing Cross and Embankment Tube stations.

It was the wettest day of the year (end of July) we were soaked through. We arrived early but were welcomed onboard in a calm pleasant restaurant. The staff were very accommodating and made us comfortable. The set meal was well presented and most enjoyable. We left after 2 hours dry on the outside and we sustained on the inside.

There are 3 seating areas (one was closed for private function) the 2 open had different menus. The set menu was reasonably priced. The food was well cooked and well presented. The sea bass was a well sized portion. Access for elderly could be a problem at low tide as the entry ramp is very steep. At high tide this would not be an issue.

The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The starter and main were lovely but wasn't happy with the ice cream sorbet the chef decided to add ginger yo it and got a little heavy - handed with the ginger I could barely taste the ice cream ginger too ovee-powering.

Didn't like the bar as nd restaurant being together people walking in and out as we were eating felt a little uncomfortable. Bar and restaurant should be separate in my opinion.

A very pleasant dining room, with views across the river, and adequate space between tables. The staff were first class – efficient and friendly without being over-familiar. The intervals between courses was sufficient for us to have a leisurely meal and enjoy some wine while we digested the previous course; use one of the bar and snack areas if you’re on a tight schedule. The food was tasty and well presented, although some was rather over-salted for our taste. I had expected Nouvel Cuisine portions; the presentation was along those lines, but the quantity left me feeling well-filled. The price was quite moderate, and the meal very good value. Several wines are available by glass, carafe, or bottle, and the prices are not out of the way. We went for the set menu; I think it very likely that we will be returning to try the full range available. Highly recommended.

I took my wife for birthday, and it was a first class experience. We arrived half an hour earlier than booked and we were welcomed straight on and given the choice of several tables by the window with a great view of the London eye.
The waitress was very pleasant and timed the space inbetween courses perfectly allowing just enough time to take in the views and conversation. The food was piping hot, and absolutely delicious and wonderfully presented. A superb choice of food too. There was no rush to get us out and in fact we could have stayed all afternoon if we had liked to... a first class experience and we will definately book again!!
