Bringing fine Indian cuisine to Kingston-Upon-Thames, Roz Ana uses fresh ingredients and spices to create a menu that represents India’s regional diversity. Beautifully presented dishes add a contemporary touch to traditional Indian flavours.
The Roz Ana menu is a culinary tour of India and beyond, with monkfish and coconut curry from the west coast of India, chicken chettinad, a traditional south Indian curry with curry leaves and tamarind, and even chicken tikka masala flavoured with Laphroaig whisky. Children are catered for, with a menu of real Indian flavours with reduced spice.
Exciting desserts are on offer at Roz Ana, including Earl Grey crème brulee and a chocolate and almond samosa. From the elegant bar area, guests can sample the impressive wine list as well as a range of classic and Indian-inspired cocktails.
In a popular area of south-west London, Roz Ana restaurant in Kingston is a 6-minute walk from Norbiton Train Station.

I was introduced to this restaurant last week by a friend and had to drag my family for dinner there. The food is simply outstanding. As an Indian living here for over 20 years and totally miss the authentic indian flavour which Roz-Ana gave to me. The amritsari kabab was succulent and flaky, chicken butter masala was very flavoursome and the chicken biryani was a burst of flavours on the palate without being spicy! I would highly recommend this place for its authentic Indian flavours, if you want to try some! A*

This is my 5-6th visit to Rozana over the course of 2-3 years, previous visits have been exceptional with the food tasting rich, fresh and luxurious. Unfortunately this time around I didn't feel the same ... lamb kebabs for starters were juicy and flavoursome, however they came with a bland mint chutney that was just too thick. The Aloo Tikki Chaat was tasty and fresh with lovely pomegranate, I enjoyed this dish and it was on par with the taste/quality on previous visits.
I ordered the Chicken Makhani (butter chicken) on the bone, which tasted like chicken doused in mildly spiced tomato soup - disappointing, the garlic naans however were absolutely delicious as usual.
Finally, for dessert I had my tried and tested favourite - the Valronha Chocolate Samosa - sadly the Malibu coconut cream shot wasn't very cold, which usually provides a delightful contrast to the warm, liquid chocolate oozing out of the almond encrusted samosa pastry. And the chocolate samosa itself... well this time the chocolate wasn't fluid and oozy, but congealed and thick, and mixed with oil, also not as warm as normal. Really disappointing actually, that my favourite dish at this restaurant wasn't really up to scratch.
Maybe this day was an off-day for the chef(s) or they used a different one, but I was not left as blown away as I normally am at this restaurant. I will be back as I want to return to this place with the same experience as previous visits, and can only help the food next time is as delicious as I remember it.

The restaurant was well laid out as well as decorated from outside, with it's subtle but invitingly lit up trees at the door. The staff were quick to welcome us and seat us. Food and drinks were quick, service was friendly and with smiles the whole way. My partner commented on how she felt like she was on an episode of First Dates by the way they appeared to be looking over at us and smiling so much in response to how happy she looked to be there, which was actually very nice.
Food was amazing, my first experience of an Indian restaurant, but my partner declared it the best she'd ever been to (and she's a big fan!). Whilst everything we ordered was lovely, the scallops starter was absolutely the talking point for us, and something we've joked semi-seriously about returning specifically to have again - just order up 5 or so of them, and have them as our entire starter and main combination.
Only potential criticism was that after it got busy, it was difficult to catch someone's eye to get our bill, and after we had requested it, it took a while to be brought to us as they were serving other people first. Perhaps they just didn't want to interrupt our lovely date? Who knows!

Tonight there were a few problems unfortunately. After a 45 minute wait we were asked to choose a different main course as they had run out of lamb shank (only 7:45pm). The starter took over an hour to come, one of the drinks I ordered was forgotten about and the main was supposed to be lamb but came as beef instead. The waitress didn't mention to us that the biryani already comes with raita and we ordered an extra one so we had too much..(to be fair it does state on the menu that the biryani comes with raita but this should be pointed out regardless). The food was good quality

Initial reception was slightly off putting- 'the kitchen closes in 20 mins so you will have to hurry up'.
If we hadn't booked it I could maybe understand it and if we hadn't travelled in a taxi I would have walked out!
Shame really, as though quite expensive the food was lovely and worth the extra cost. The mixed starter was very tasty and we all enjoyed our main courses!
