Overlooking the wildlife sanctuary of Langstone Harbour, The Royal Oak Havant is a stunning seaside pub. Perfect for nature lovers, there is also a sunny garden for al fresco dining, and a tranquil duck pond.

Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, the Royal Oak menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.

The drinks list at The Royal Oak pub features carefully-chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.

Perfect for nature walks and wildlife viewing, The Royal Oak is a 7-minute drive from Havant Rail Station.

The only thing I have to comment on was we had to wait half an hour for our meal to be served, otherwise everything else was excellent, lovely food, polite staff and a table by the window, with a great view over Langstone Harbour

The venue was excellent with beautiful views over the water but the service was slow. The waitress was very good and smiley which I like. However I thought the menu was the same as many other pubs which I found a bit boring. There wasn't any parking at all and two in our party were disabled which made it a little difficult. I was pleased they did a gluten free menu.
We would visit again because of the location .

Beautiful location beside Chichester harbour and a quaint old building. Staff were polite and helpful and the menu varied. We ate at 3pm on a Sunday, my partner had a roast but the Yorkshire pudding looked a bit tired and flat as if it had been kept warm since lunch started. I chose from the main menu and it was fine.

We were a party of four and all selected different meals. I chose from the summer special menu, roasted fig, honey and mozzarella salad. When it arrived I was very disappointed. A large bow! Of limp rocket leaves with a few figs and bits of cheese scattered over it, certainly not value for money. I then had sticky toffee pudding which was heavy and stodgy, not the light airy sponge I have had slsshere. The service was fine , we were warned we won!d have to wait for 30 minutes for our food which considering we had booked a table , was rather surprising. All in a!l a rather disappointing dining experience.

Very easy to book and nice online confirmation system. When we arrived the landlady cleared some interlopers off our table and we enjoyed a lovely view of the incoming tide. All 5 of us enjoyed the meal. The service was friendly and polite from All 3 of the waiting staff we encountered. Looking forward to coming again
