A luxurious 19th-century manor house hotel, Rowhill Grange near Dartford hosts the sophisticated RG’s Restaurant, winner of 2 AA Rosettes. The more informal Elements Bar & Lounge serves brasserie-style cuisine, while both offer al fresco dining on the garden terrace, also ideal for traditional afternoon tea.

The RG’s Restaurant menu embraces seasonal flavours, with venison loin with pumpkin puree, red cabbage and chocolate, and wild turbot with crab and broad bean risotto amongst its mains. The RG’s grill sizzles with prime sirloin, organic chicken and salmon served with hollandaise.

Big club sandwiches and flavourful salads are trademarks of the Elements menu, along with classic pastas and chunky cod and chips. RG’s is an inviting setting for a fulsome Sunday lunch, where decadent starters and puddings join traditional roasts, or equally tempting fish and vegetarian dishes.

Served in the restaurants or one of the relaxing Rowhill Grange lounges, afternoon tea can be accompanied by strawberries and champagne, with freshly baked cakes straight from the Rowhill Grange pastry chefs. In Wilmington, Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa is a 10-minute drive from central Dartford.

My friend and I decided to have a festive afternoon tea at Rowhill Grange. We were seated immediately and received fantastic service throughout our time there. All food was explained to us and we were asked if either of us had allergies or dietary requirements.
Each tier of food was delicious. I was a bit dubious about the butternut squash and hummus sandwich but it was gorgeous. We had a great afternoon and would certainly recommend the experience.

Festive afternoon tea was lovely. They catered for my request to not have any cakes with alcohol in them and provided me with my own individual cake stand :-)

It was my father's birthday and we had a really nice afternoon.
The quality and presentation of the food was exceptional.
    Thank you

The Sandwichs were lovely. The little pudding in the class dish was also nice. Disappointed with the cakes very dry not enough cream for the scones I had to leave it. I can get an afternoon tea in John Lewis for about 8 00 per person and it far superior to yours. This is ridicuously over priced and I had to pay an extra gratuity tax. This was a gift for a friend so could complain in front of her. I WAS EXTREMRLY DISAPPOINTED.

Good service although a little delay due to lack of staff.

It was very nice. The girl serving us was lovely and helped us out. Downsides were that we were sat 2nd in the tea room but actually served last which wasn't fair and there were 3 of us but not enough cream and jam but the girl who served us brought us loads more when we asked
It was also a little chilly in the room for me but the other 2 I was with thought it was fine!

The staff were exceptional and tea was good although the restaurant was quite loud. I would definitely recommend though. Maybe ask for a lounge seat instead.

I booked an Afternoon Tea as a special birthday treat for my mother. We were greeted by Vally and his team, smiles and warmth. We sat in the room just off the restaurant. The menu was explained to us and drinks were promptly delivered. The afternoon tea was brought out and again we were talked through what we had. All looked delicious. So where to start from the top or the bottom, the sandwiches were light and tastey. Then onto the scones with clotted cream and jam, after a small break, we were chatting so much anyway, we began on the tempting cakes. The drinks were kept topped up. The staff were lovely. We were even offered a show round, Emily took us around the Spa and Shanti showed us the Clock house. The property is set in lovely grounds , like a rabbit warren it goes off in different directions offering perfect meeting/function rooms ideal for all sorts of events. We had a wonderful afternoon and am so glad a friend recommended it . I too will highly recommend it. Please pass on my thanks to the team :-)

Service excellent, food excellent but restaurant noise due to two parties of girls celebrating. However this did not significantly affect our evening

This is my 4th visit to rowhill always excellent food staff outstanding, however this previous occasion was little disappointing. It was for my husbands bday and the meal service really put a downer on the stay. There was several groups of women on a hen I believe and the foul language and the noise made it impossible to enjoy the meal. We rushed our outstanding food to hurry up and get out as the noise was ridiculous. I did mention to the staff and they did apologies but paying that much for a beautiful meal you expect to enjoy it in peace.

Other then this which I would like to see if there is any compensation for this, We didn't even get afters as my husband said let's leave it due to feeling uncomfortable. This is not the usual Rowhill standards we expected. Other then this hotel stuff and spa was outstanding never the less and recommend other then the restaurant having two separate areas for groups and couples to all to go visit!
