Lovely location, a bit difficult to find. The tea was very enjoyable but the room was quite cold and we did find it a bit lonely as we were the only people there.

A luxurious 19th-century manor house hotel, Rowhill Grange near Dartford hosts the sophisticated RG’s Restaurant, winner of 2 AA Rosettes. The more informal Elements Bar & Lounge serves brasserie-style cuisine, while both offer al fresco dining on the garden terrace, also ideal for traditional afternoon tea.

The RG’s Restaurant menu embraces seasonal flavours, with venison loin with pumpkin puree, red cabbage and chocolate, and wild turbot with crab and broad bean risotto amongst its mains. The RG’s grill sizzles with prime sirloin, organic chicken and salmon served with hollandaise.

Big club sandwiches and flavourful salads are trademarks of the Elements menu, along with classic pastas and chunky cod and chips. RG’s is an inviting setting for a fulsome Sunday lunch, where decadent starters and puddings join traditional roasts, or equally tempting fish and vegetarian dishes.

Served in the restaurants or one of the relaxing Rowhill Grange lounges, afternoon tea can be accompanied by strawberries and champagne, with freshly baked cakes straight from the Rowhill Grange pastry chefs. In Wilmington, Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa is a 10-minute drive from central Dartford.

We took my 90 year old aunt for afternoon tea. Our experience was wonderful, made particularly special by the superb service from the friendly & attentive staff. I have been to Rowhill for spa days & over night stays, but this was my 1st time for afternoon tea & I highly recommend it.

Afternoon tea at Rowhill Grange was a relaxing afternoon. Sandwiches were lovely, scones were freshly baked, enjoyed the little cakes. Service was excellent.

A very enjoyable lunch in the sunshine. Outstanding service at every level with a well balanced fixed price menu. Very attentive but not intrusive. We will come back!
Only challenge was finding Rowhill using the post code and satnav. It sent us around the hotel along very poor lanes. A sign to say no entry to the hotel where the lanes start would be appreciated. Will remember next time!

Restaurant was lovely however I have been to many "afternoon teas" up London, including the savoy and the Sanderson hotel, and it has always been an unlimited amour of scones/sandwiches so was disappointed that it was not the case here. We had a party of 7 and only got 1 of each, which I don't feel is that satisfying.

Had afternoon tea here but was disappointed. My gluten and dairy free tea did not include any scones and ghe cakes were ones you csn buy in supermarkets. Had expected them to be home made. No diabetic options were provided for my mother in law.
