Excellent service. Regular staff checking to see everything was ok. Having the afternoon Tea in the small dining area was so much better than the main restaurant. Nice and cosy. Fantastic sandwiches and cakes. Very festive.

A luxurious 19th-century manor house hotel, Rowhill Grange near Dartford hosts the sophisticated RG’s Restaurant, winner of 2 AA Rosettes. The more informal Elements Bar & Lounge serves brasserie-style cuisine, while both offer al fresco dining on the garden terrace, also ideal for traditional afternoon tea.
The RG’s Restaurant menu embraces seasonal flavours, with venison loin with pumpkin puree, red cabbage and chocolate, and wild turbot with crab and broad bean risotto amongst its mains. The RG’s grill sizzles with prime sirloin, organic chicken and salmon served with hollandaise.
Big club sandwiches and flavourful salads are trademarks of the Elements menu, along with classic pastas and chunky cod and chips. RG’s is an inviting setting for a fulsome Sunday lunch, where decadent starters and puddings join traditional roasts, or equally tempting fish and vegetarian dishes.
Served in the restaurants or one of the relaxing Rowhill Grange lounges, afternoon tea can be accompanied by strawberries and champagne, with freshly baked cakes straight from the Rowhill Grange pastry chefs. In Wilmington, Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa is a 10-minute drive from central Dartford.

We really enjoyed our afternoon tea. The service was great and the food was lovely. However I did find the room we were seated in fairly loud as there was some bigger groups there. I would also suggest that perhaps more sandwiches could bE offered instead of the amount of scones and cakes as this was a little overpowering on the sugar front! That said we would definitely visit again and orehaps try the lunch or evening menu

Food presented well. Although on the expensive side.

I went to Rowhill Grange with 2 girl friends on a Saturday afternoon and it was lovely! Although it doesn't look like a lot of food when it comes out, it's surprisingly filling and it looks amazing. The tea is refilled whenever you like (and you aren't charged any extra for this) however extra sandwiches are more money per person. The food was delicious, everything was very fresh - the scones were still warm! The room itself is lovely and bright, the atmosphere was nice too. We had heard that there was a service charge added on to the price at the end which is hard to deny as the service was exceptional.
Overall it was a lovely experience - we had a 2 hour slot but went over this however we didn't feel as though any one wanted us to leave which was nice. The only negative I would give this is that the price of the standard afternoon tea at £24.95 pp is quite expensive. There are lots of places in Kent that offer afternoon tea at a much cheaper price for the same quality but as a one off it was a lovely experience. I would recommend to a friend and would personally love to go back in the summer and enjoy al fresco dining!

Food was fairly nice. Menu seems a lot less pretentious and more straight forward than on my previous visit. I feel the prices however are still trying to reflect pretentiousness with the menu feeling overpriced for the food being served
Smoked duck starter was a nice intro but the squash soup was pretty bland.
Slow roast lamb rump was nicely pink and braised potato was nicely buttery but the grilled chicken a little dry and fairly non descript.
Wine list is diversified enough without reading like a phone book but 4x mark up makes enjoying a decent bottle rather expensive

The small lounge where we sat was lovely. The waitress was very polite and friendly. The tea for two which we had was excellent.
