Overlooking dramatic skyscraper-dotted skyline, ROKA Canary Wharf offers modern Japanese ‘robatayaki’ cuisine. Guests can enjoy views of the chefs at work in the bustling open kitchen, and sip on tropical cocktails served in Japanese clay vessels.

The diverse ROKA menu is led by beautifully fresh sushi, rice dishes and tempura, as well as sizzling meats and fish from the robata grill. Enjoy luxurious options like lamb cutlets with Korean spices, or sea bream with miso and red onion. ROKA’s intricately-crafted desserts include cotton-soft cheesecake with grilled pear and cream cheese ice cream.

The bar at ROKA in London boasts a list of exotic, tropical-inspired cocktail mixes, served in hand-thrown clay vessels. Offsetting the flash open kitchen, the earthy dining room is decked out in leather, polished timber and porphyry stone.

A high-end Japanese restaurant in one of London’s swankiest areas, ROKA Canary Wharf is a 3-minute walk from Canary Wharf Tube Station.

Food was fantastic, it was my birthday and a beautiful dessert was brought out, 3 of us had the Seasonal tasting menu which was great. Experience of serving staff was not great, patronising and downright rude would describe them better. The waiter smirked when we said we wanted the seasonal tasting menu rather than the premium, I knocked over a glass of water and I made a polite joke, a Japanese sommelier was rude and told me that was no excuse for knocking the water over. The same sommelier was trying to ply us with alcohol throughout the evening, that was not the reason the water went over. Maybe it was because we were a table of only women they thought they could get away with such behaviour. I would go back for the food but the staff don't compare with other great London restaurants like Benares, The Ivy or the wonderful Les Trois Garçon which no longer exists.
