Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food and service were excellent. Choice and portion size were great. It was a family reunion so we wanted to talk and didn't feel overwhelmed by background music. The whole atmosphere is warm , friendly and calm. We'll be back!

Very pleasant and the food was good and reasonably priced. Six young people at our adjacent table were rather noisy.

Service was excellent from the initial greeting to final goodnight. Menu was easy and choice was enough. The food was excellent although the tort a little small ??. A perfect evening was had. Thank you.

Excellent and friendly service. Different and good food in portions that are not too large, so you can enjoy a full three course meal.

The food & friendly staff couldn't be faulted. We were a group of 4 who were all amazed at the value, £7.95 for 3 courses, we all had scallops for our starter which we all agreed they were well worth the extra £4. We will certainly be dining at the River Cafe again.

Booked for Sunday lunch. This is our fourth visit to the River Cafe and as before it didn't disappoint. Good menu choice for all courses. Mussels for starter were delicious. Two of chose traditional Sunday roast - one lamb and one beef and both were tender and tasty and beautifully cooked with plenty of piping hot well cooked veg and extra gravy brought to the table with our meals. My husband chose the sea bream which he said was very good and cooked to perfection. Desserts were yummy too.
Food is of a very good standard and quality and fantastic value for money. Very good service and staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely to have spotless linen tablecloths and napkins.
When booking we asked for a window table if possible and although our table wasn't right next to the window we had a window close by with a lovely view over the river.
It won't be our last visit to this little gem.
