Having spent 10 years working under the tutelage of Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse in London and Paris, it’s no surprise that Executive Chef Alexandre Nicolas' menu takes inspiration from Italian and French dining traditions. With an interior designed by Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, Rivea restaurant in London brings the spirit of the chic French and Italian Riviera to the heart of the British capital.

Focusing on utilising simple and fresh ingredients to bring out the flavours, the Rivea London menu is vibrant and bold. Inspired by the bustling food markets in Italy and Provence, the Mediterranean menu of small plates includes warm octopus and potato salad, and aubergine caviar. Main courses from the Rivea London menu include blue lobster with purple artichokes, and seared beef fillet with seasonal vegetables.

A carefully-selected wine list complements the menu, showcasing small artisanal producers alongside iconic winemakers, all sourced from France and Italy.

Offering elegant cuisine and a relaxed ambience, Rivea London in Knightsbridge sits 2 minutes’ walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

Fantastic food and service. We treated ourselves with a nice Cuban cigar in the cigar lounge which made it a greater experience

Very high end; friendly, not stuffy; eclectic background music piched at the right level so as to not impede conversation; creative, modern-European "tapas-style" menu.

Service was excellent. Food was extremely good, although I wasn't astonished (and I was expecting to be). I guess one of the reason was that I am italian and many of the dishes were exactly as expected (although all prepared in a impeccable way) but nothing really left me astonished as I said. Portions a bit too small, but there is an excellent choice of home made bread to make it up for it. In general a very good experience that I would surely recommend to all Brits.

Great service and attention to detail. The food is excellent, although portions are really small.

Excellent food. Attentive, friendly service and great value. Restaurant was quiet (it was Monday evening) but that didn't stop us having a lovely time in this lovely setting. Highly recommended. One of our group has a gluten intolerance and the waitress was sure to describe every course that she could or couldn't have, whilst the chef was able to prepare up to three dessert options (outside of the menu) should she wish. Couldn't ask for more.

Enjoyable evening with friends. Friendly service and nicely done food at a posh hotel.

We arrived at 1.30pm for drinks at the bar before lunch at 2pm. Our daughters arrived to join us for drinks too. However somewhere along the line the restaurant was not told we were at the bar and we were then told the restaurant closed last orders at 2pm. Therefore we never got into the restaurant to experience the fine dining. We ate a cheeseburger from the "in room dining" experience. The staff did try to do their best but there is obviously lack of communication somewhere.

Excellent - superb food, exquisite dining room and flawless service. This is the sister restaurant to Rivea in St Tropez and the Mediterranean style cooking is beautiful.
