Having spent 10 years working under the tutelage of Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse in London and Paris, it’s no surprise that Executive Chef Alexandre Nicolas' menu takes inspiration from Italian and French dining traditions. With an interior designed by Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, Rivea restaurant in London brings the spirit of the chic French and Italian Riviera to the heart of the British capital.

Focusing on utilising simple and fresh ingredients to bring out the flavours, the Rivea London menu is vibrant and bold. Inspired by the bustling food markets in Italy and Provence, the Mediterranean menu features the likes of warm octopus and potato salad, and aubergine caviar. Main courses from the Rivea London menu include line-caught tuna with sautéed vegetables and agrodolce sauce, and seared beef fillet, crushed potatoes with olive oil.

A carefully-selected wine list complements the menu, showcasing small artisanal producers alongside iconic winemakers, all sourced from France and Italy.

Offering elegant cuisine and a relaxed ambience, Rivea London in Knightsbridge sits 2 minutes’ walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

Beautiful place, very good environment : quiet & luxurious.
We really appreciated all the extras : Bread, pre-starter, post-dessert
Food was very good but based on my experience of Michelin's star restaurant I have been a bit disappointed regarding salt and sugar dosages.
    - Starter (sea bass) and course (cookpot of the sea) were too salty
    - Dessert (lemon shortbread) too sweet

Service was excellent and the food delicious. The setting reminded me of a 30's film set in Hollywood..A perfect place to celebrate an anniversary or a birthday ..or simply anything that would give me an excuse to go back again

My wife and I dined here with two friends in December and enjoyed it very much so we took our niece and her friend for another very enjoyable evening. The (all female) staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. The two fish starters were outstanding.

Lovely atmosphere: subtly elegant decor, quiet conversation and a chic but not pretentious feel. Serivice was good: friendly, thoughtful and attentive but not overly stiff, fitting with the broader feel.
We enjoyed the food a lot. One starts with breadsticks which can be dippe in a range of vegetables-based dips: both delicious and fun (as one can hide the descriptions and try to guess the ingredients); then some very good breads (lemon, which was amazing; tomato focaccia and brown). For the rest of my meal I had fish based courses, all of which were very good: marinated sea bream which was amazing and octopus which was good, not quite spectacular. For my main I had a cod with shellfish which I really enjoyed: delicate and perfectly cooked, well flavoured and complemented perfectly with the seafood and sauce. My husband really enjoyed his buratta and his stone bass carpaccio, but his beef was rather disappointing: tough and stringy. Overall we felt the food was good, broadly speaking of the category we would expect, though not amazing enough to be particularly memorable. The beef was the only disappointment.
