Having spent 10 years working under the tutelage of Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse in London and Paris, it’s no surprise that Executive Chef Alexandre Nicolas' menu takes inspiration from Italian and French dining traditions. With an interior designed by Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, Rivea restaurant in London brings the spirit of the chic French and Italian Riviera to the heart of the British capital.

Focusing on utilising simple and fresh ingredients to bring out the flavours, the Rivea London menu is vibrant and bold. Inspired by the bustling food markets in Italy and Provence, the Mediterranean menu of small plates includes warm octopus and potato salad, and aubergine caviar. Main courses from the Rivea London menu include blue lobster with purple artichokes, and seared beef fillet with seasonal vegetables.

A carefully-selected wine list complements the menu, showcasing small artisanal producers alongside iconic winemakers, all sourced from France and Italy.

Offering elegant cuisine and a relaxed ambience, Rivea London in Knightsbridge sits 2 minutes’ walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The surroundings elegant. We all had a different selection of dishes and each were cooked to perfection. My scallop dish was the best I've eaten. Some of the mains were on the small side but when it's cooked and presented like that it doesn't matter to much. The different types of bread rolls just kept arriving,as soon as basket was finished we were given more.We all had a wonderful time.

Nice location, modern restaurant with a nice bars with great cocktails upstairs. The service was excellent and the food very good, innovative and of quality. The offer is definitely worthwhile. Close to a Michelin star.

    Great service
We had the 35 pound lunch menu, and we mixed and matched the courses, which the waiters suggested we do. The quality of the food was outstanding. The wine was good and the portion generous. Don't forget VAT and coffee and service charge has to be added which adds another 25% to the bill!

I've had an event at Bulgari before, so I was already aware of what a great hotel it was and was familiar with Rivea, hence my reason to book it for dinner. The food was excellent, a real culinary experience. The breadsticks with the various dips (colour palette) to graze on when we arrived were fantastic, and they still brought us a separate bread basket! we had 4 small plates each + a glass of wine in the deal, which was fantastic value. There was definitely enough food, even though it's small plates. Can't fault the food, it was superb, as was the excellent French service and the restaurant ambience. It's a beautiful restaurant, we will definitely go back. Top marks all round

Food was ok, service was terrible. I was persuaded that it was better for me to buy a bottle of champagne rather than 4 glasses at £14. Would you just like the bottle sir? No thanks, just 4 glasses please. It would be better value! Ok, I'll have the bottle then. When the bill came the bottle was £84 and it was sitting half full in the ice bucket as the server had not poured it since the first glass. We went on to white wine and I had to prompt a waiter every time the glass was empty. Not very attentive and no way worth the huge bill. Not what I would expect from Alan Ducasse. At least at The Dorchester they know good service. Not happy!

Lovely hotel. Sea bass in citrus was divine. Tiny portions of food are served so you are supposed to order four or five per person. Service good

Had a great experience at the restaurant. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart and the value for money with the menu deal is brilliant.
