Ate here at lunchtime on the 'offer' menu. Nicely served by the staff and especially as I have a food intolerance the staff were very informative of the content of the dishes.

Having spent 10 years working under the tutelage of Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse in London and Paris, it’s no surprise that Executive Chef Alexandre Nicolas' menu takes inspiration from Italian and French dining traditions. With an interior designed by Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, Rivea restaurant in London brings the spirit of the chic French and Italian Riviera to the heart of the British capital.

Focusing on utilising simple and fresh ingredients to bring out the flavours, the Rivea London menu is vibrant and bold. Inspired by the bustling food markets in Italy and Provence, the Mediterranean menu of small plates includes warm octopus and potato salad, and aubergine caviar. Main courses from the Rivea London menu include blue lobster with purple artichokes, and seared beef fillet with seasonal vegetables.

A carefully-selected wine list complements the menu, showcasing small artisanal producers alongside iconic winemakers, all sourced from France and Italy.

Offering elegant cuisine and a relaxed ambience, Rivea London in Knightsbridge sits 2 minutes’ walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

The food was excellent, although the service was a little hurried. However we will never go back there. The restaurant is below the bar, and the music's feed is the same - 50s rock - which was overbearing and intrusive, and also no way of asking it to be turned down. It is also en route to the toilets, so all evening there were bar guests striding through the restaurant on the way to the looks - no doubt as it got later and people consumed more alcohol, the frequency of visits would increase. Unfortunately we were sitting on that pathway so it was a major distraction. We did tell the manager as we left and he told us there had been several similar comments - unsurprisingly!

The food, service and atmosphere were all great. I don't think the potion was small. We enjoyed everything. If the plate for the main course is bigger, you wouldn't feel the potion was small.

Excellent, good attentive service without being overpowering . Food excellent, portions are small but were ideal for us as it enables us to enjoy each course without feeling bloated.

We all really enjoyed our dining experience - the food was delicious and you could distinguish the different flavours easily. The service was sublime - discrete and unobtrusive but on hand to top up glasses or remove empty plates. The biscuits with the bill was an unexpected bonus, a really nice touch. I would happily eat here again as the whole evening was marvellous.

Excellent service and excellent food. Portions were small but enough for a very nice lunch. Would recommend this deal.

What a pleasant surprise this was. Rather than the repetitive menu that one finds in so many of the supposedly better restaurants in London, the offering here is original and stylish, the portions are modest rather than huge, the service is charming and personal and prices are surprisingly restrained for Knightsbridge. We are going to recommend this new restaurant to all our friends!!
