Having spent 10 years working under the tutelage of Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse in London and Paris, it’s no surprise that Executive Chef Alexandre Nicolas' menu takes inspiration from Italian and French dining traditions. With an interior designed by Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, Rivea restaurant in London brings the spirit of the chic French and Italian Riviera to the heart of the British capital.

Focusing on utilising simple and fresh ingredients to bring out the flavours, the Rivea London menu is vibrant and bold. Inspired by the bustling food markets in Italy and Provence, the Mediterranean menu features the likes of warm octopus and potato salad, and aubergine caviar. Main courses from the Rivea London menu include line-caught tuna with sautéed vegetables and agrodolce sauce, and seared beef fillet, crushed potatoes with olive oil.

A carefully-selected wine list complements the menu, showcasing small artisanal producers alongside iconic winemakers, all sourced from France and Italy.

Offering elegant cuisine and a relaxed ambience, Rivea London in Knightsbridge sits 2 minutes’ walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

The experience at the Rivea was wonderful very inviting. The food was absolutely fabulous, the staff very welcoming and ever so helpful. We were in a group of 6, which was not a problem and would definitely go back there again.

Very nice atmosphere and attentitive service! Friendly waitresses! We had set menu with 4 courses and coctail £38! All well presented and very tasty! Good value for money on food, but we had bottle of chianty classico which was on a pricy side £65! all and all very nice romantic setting with good music and lighting! Looking forward visiting again! Thank you JJ for looking after us so well!

My first time here. First impression was Slightly Flashy, but this was soon dispelled. The bar and restaurant staff were warm and welcoming. The food was adventurous and tasty and the Puglian wine (from an expensive wine list) was good and reasonable. I would definitely go again.

Food, service and setting were excellent.

The space lacked a feel because it was 20% occupied. Most of food was very good and enjoyable service by attentive staff. My rump steak looked the part but was tough- not good and not eaten. However, the staff did offer to replace the meal with something else.

A perfect evening of great food, good wine, uncompromised service in a spectacular location, we couldn't have asked for more.

Starter was very plain just lettuce in a wrap. Cod was extremely fresh but unable to finish because use of salt was far too heavy. Desserts were the best part of the meal . Cost of a glass of wine was totally unjustified . As well as £6 for a bottle of water
